Love your videos! I have difficulty using equipment for obtaining a manual blood pressure. Do you have a video showing how to take a blood pressure reading? Unable to hear using the stethoscope, locating the brachial pulse, placing the stethoscope diaphragm in the correct location.

U have to count a full min. Just feel the pulse and start counting.
Hello, for the pulse and respiration, you MUST count for one full minute.

I teach my students to tell the client we are taking the pulse rate.

Hello, With Credentia, the student MUST give the patient the call light at some point BEFORE the exam is over. If you think you may forget, give the call light with the first skill.
Do I just put “75” or do I put 75 bpm
Also for respiration do I just write the number I counted?
Hello, the student can only place the respiration rate on the form and pass.

Hello, The first skill for testing is the handwashing skill.
You are NOT required to physically wash your hands for the other skills.
Do you have to wear gloves while taking radial pulse?
Hello, Gloves are not required to take the pulse.

Hello, When taking a pulse, I count the number of pulsation beats on my fingertips for 60 seconds. I am only counting what I feel for 60 seconds.

Hello, You don't have to get the exact number the evaluator gets when taking the pulse. You must be within 4 numbers +/- from the evaluator.
