    I’ve never used that kind of scale and now that I’m practicing medicine, I’m having to use it. I really, appreciate this video because it gave me a clear idea, on understanding HOW to READ and USE the SCALE.

    I have my state CNA exam tomorrow and I am having a hard time removing my gown without contaminating my skin..ugh!!I been watching your vids so hopefully if I do get it I pass..I hope I have a evaluator that's not super strict...

If you would be so kind, I am 26 years old, my height is 160, and my weight has not been measured for a while, but I think it is 65 kilograms. Is this appropriate?

      The use of gait belt for this skill is not a required step if your state testing falls under Pearson Vue.

    Hey Miss Julie. I’m kind of confused on this skill, but why did you move the larger scale to 150 instead of 200 because 200 is larger than 150 and why did you move the smaller scale on 4 instead of five or a larger number than that. Please help. Thank you 🙏 from Texas

    Am having my state exam in two days, is the resident supposed to remove their shoes before getting onto the scale? If so when they get off do I help them put their shoes back on

    For the exam if we had to complete skill 3 (ambulate using transfer belt) and skill 14 (measure&record weight of ambulatory patient), do you recommend ambulating the patient to the scale and then after bring them back to the bed? If so, would the weight of the transfer belt affect the weight of the patient on the scale?

      Hi, Clarissa! No, I would not recommend that. Each skill is a separate skill. You can not combine skills. You must perform each skill individually and in the exact order as listed on your skill set.

      Hi, Victoria! It's a floor scale. To zero out this type of scale before you have the person to stand on it, all you need to do is turn the dial to "0".

      @@victoriapedraza6860 Hi! It really depends on the type of scale. The larger, more bolded tic Mark's are usually in increments of "1". I'll try to do a live stream tomorrow morning with an explanation on how to measure the person's weight.

      Thanks for the message back. I’m in Georgia and I’m preparing for the Pearson Vue evaluation. My teacher insist that the feet cannot touch the floor. She states that when we put the patient in a sitting position, we must have them dangle there feet until we place their shoes on. She further stated that each state have different rules and regulations for the Pearson Vue evaluation. This is confusing because I have not seen nowhere that it states the feet must dangle but she insist that if we don’t make the resident feet dangle then
      we will fell the skill. Is this accurate?

      Hi Blake! Digital or electric scales are prohibited. The scale must be a calibrated bathroom scale or a standig scale, as shown in my video.
