    Hi, Julie. I have my exam on Tuesday in DFW. I just was reviewing videos to study and I wanted to say how much I appreciate yours. I hope you do more! I know you are in EP, but my husband is a videographer and in the last 3 months of class and clinicals, I realize how there is a lack of quality and trustworthy videos for CNA review for Texas (and in general). I know how busy you must be but if you would like to talk about a way for him to professionally (and inexpensively) record and edit your skill videos, please let me know! No pressure though. I really just wanted to say thank you so much.

    Hi, I’ve been watching your videos these past weeks. Since the whole covid-19 I only had two lab days and three weeks off to do them at home which was fairly hard. Your videos have been fairly helpful and I was wondering if there was a video on how to drain a urinary bag ? Or maybe I didn’t find I.t but could you please show us how to do that properly ? There’s so many videos on CZcams but I find yours to be very accurate and helpful. Thank you!

    Hi I have a question Do we introduce ourself in this skill? Or its considered done after the 1st skill which will always hand hygiene?

    • @NURSEJAR
      @NURSEJAR  Před 5 lety +1

      Hi, Emily! It really all depends on the NAE. Some will tell you to address the resident and introduce yourself before each skill, while others will tell you to do so only once before the first bedside skill.
      This is why it's very important for candidates to listen to instructions and to ask questions if you have any.

    Ms Julie . When measuring urine and I suppose to count oz or the cc ? I am so confused I take my state test on Halloween . Do you know which website I can also use to practice test for the written exam ?

    • @NURSEJAR
      @NURSEJAR  Před 4 lety +2

      Hi, Jazmin! You measure urinary output in mL or cc. For testing only, when recording, you need not record the unit of measurement (mL or cc). Only record the number value.
      www.CNA.plus is the ONLY site I will refer people to. However, now, this site does charge a member fee.
      You may also purchase written test prep questions on my Etsy storefront at www.Etsy.com/shop/CNAQuest. You may also purchase my "SMASH That CNA Exam!" book on my storefront.

    Mrs Julie do we wash hands with water just once and the rest we just verbalize? I about to take my test in texas.

    • @NURSEJAR
      @NURSEJAR  Před 7 lety +1

      Normally, the Evaluator will have you to really wash your hands with soap and water at the very beginning during your Hand Hygiene skill. He/She will explain that all other times when you should wash your hands to verbalize, "I'm washing my hands." Just remember to listen very carefully to the Evaluator's instructions. Also, everytime you remove and dispose of gloves, immediately verbalize "washing hands".
