Another fellow Texan pilot!
Thanks for creating such a great product Dean! I’ll try not to call you “Dan” next time, ha.
"ever done this goofy maneuver?" - *lifts glasses outside of headset* I died laughing!!!! ... because yes, we've all done it 🙂
I didn’t realize how goofy it truly looked until I saw myself doing it on the video, ha. Thanks for watching.
Cool video thank you. I'll certainly be looking into these for my flying and motorcycle helmets across the pond.
Great, I feel confident you will really like them. I can’t fly without them anymore. If you decide to try some, use my coupon code FREEDOMFLIGHT and that will save you 10%! Thanks for watching.
Yeah any company owner of a product they produce with their phone number on the website gets my vote FOR SURE. Gonna pick myself some up for motorcycling.
Great, I'm confident you will like them...wore mine for hours today. Let me know which ones you get and what you think, I'd value your feedback.
Great video. I want them for use with a full face motorcycle helmet and I’m glad they have the try on pack. I’m going to have to check that out
You will love them. I just got some more myself. Try on kit is such a good idea. It only comes in gray lenses though, the glasses to come life with some mirror action! Thx for watching.
Def gonna order a pair, so many shades and frames to choose from im between kestrel or king fisher!
Great! I feel confident you’ll love them. Thx for watching.
The owner, Dean, friends everyone on Facebook. I met him on some aviation group and he sent me a friend request. Didn't really know who he was at the time. Just talked flying with him a bit. A few months later, I discovered Flying Eyes and I'm like "oh, that's the dude I met on Facebook awhile back". I just ordered a try-on kit of prescription frames with magnetic sunglass clips. Those are actually quite common now. My current glasses have a sunglass clip, but they're not designed for flying. They're uncomfortable, they're polarized, and they're a terrible blue tint. I will likely end up getting the gradient copper lenses. Copper/amber tint are great for VFR flying.
I have the gradient copper lens now too and love them. Hard to beat the quality of Flying Eyes, I'm a big fan of them for flying especially.
I wonder if the kestrels would be better than classic G-15 ray ban aviators?
I like them a lot better. The frames are incredibly flexible, you are not going to accidentally bend them. Plus they are ridiculously light. However, I also understand liking that classic metal RB look. Give them a try though, Flying Eyes is great about returns if you are not happy. Thx for watching
Like the sunglasses, what if you need glasses due to being nearsighted.....prescriptions available??
Hi Ronald, thanks for watching. Yes, you can get them in prescriptions also! They have one really awesome model that you can get clear prescriptions and then a magnetic stick on sunglass that goes on top. (Sounds strange at first, but looks like they work well, I’ll be getting those myself in the near future!)
Hey Dave I’m in Southlake area. Any recs on a good flight school or instructor?
Hey check out In The Pattern at Denton or Marcair at Alliance. Both are reputable schools. Thanks for watching!
do you know if I can order prescription sunglasses from them as I wear glasses and obviously need to see good.
Jason, you certainly can order prescription's from Flying Eyes. Check out the "Luxon" model. They have an awesome option to make them clear glasses with a magnetic sunglass that fits perfectly on top. I dont wear prescriptions but if I did, these would certainly be what I would choose! Let me know if you get some, I'd love to hear your feedback.
What model of Ray Ban are those?
Sorry I can’t recall the exact model as I’ve had those for a long, long, time. Originally they were extremely durable but the second ones I bought we’re definitely made cheaper. I’ll see if I can figure out the model and let you know. I love the aesthetics of the frames but they don’t work that great under an over the headset, they break the seal for me at least.
plastic or glass?
They are a type of polycarbonate, definitely not glass. But my old Ray Bans were glass, and heavy!
Your about page is under construction and has no location for you. I like the videos.
Hey sorry, still working on that! We are near Dallas/Ft Worth Texas. Thx for watching!
