Great video man. I’ve been playing Ike and I’m a bit newer at the game so the movement thing especially on platforms is real difficult for me. How do you hit your nairs and fairs consistently when you short hop with only one button though? I short hop using 2 jump buttons at the same and I’m trying to short hop using only one button
Good tutorial bro I was commenting before I watch the video gotta get better on the stick what’s the best controller in your opinion I want to get better in smash and get competitive I’m decent but I need to go to the next level so I can compete definitely going to get done coaching from u
These drills should help you a lot already! Having complete control over your character is the most important thing. Other than that, just try to hit your moves as low and as far away as possible!
@@SoloJones I know, I have the jump set to X too, and I use it whenever I need to double jump zair cancel (I'm a Lucas main) Although I should probably start using it more, I'm just a Brawl veteran and got so used to those controls it's kind of hard switching to the Switch
It's like a movement tree, how many things build off each other! Thanks for this, I will for sure be running some drills very soon.
Solo jones tryna make me mklama
this is so good, a basic movement guide it so good to warm up with, we need you to come back to posting things like this, even every once in a while.
Absolutely loving these guides man, the way you break down these concepts really makes them feel easier to approach
Why are the simple things always the most important. Thanks chief
Wish I had this when starting out
Finally a video that actually teaches something! I just started playing last Saturday and I'd love to play with you for some feedback
This is so helpful!

There’s no shortcut, it’s all practice!
Great video as usual. I see you’re using the pro controller. Can you do a video on controller optimum controller setup with key mapping?
I showed my controls in this video! czcams.com/video/vVBWrH8u9Uw/video.html but that’s a great idea for a vid I’ll def do that
Came back to smash after a few months and after so long training to do short hops, i have issues doing full hops i keep short hopping instead
No magic to it, it's like learning an instrument, gotta practice your scales

Awesome stuff man. Quick question, how do I improve my aerial spacing against real players?

Does the controller make a difference I feel like some ppl play faster because of the controller
I need to beat my friends with prya & mythra and they have sroa
I know I should be able to use buttons more, but I am just so used to tap jumping. Is there a way to short hop with tap jump?
Yes if you flick the stick up quickly. I do not recommend tap jump tho, it makes a lot of things much more difficult

How do u beat patient sonics as ike? It feels like an auto loss to me at top 1% gsp.
Don’t approach, focus on letting them approach first, camp on platforms, and if it’s on FD just sd because life is too short for that
Why do you only have to to byleth?
