Which combo do you think is most important for beginners to learn?
aetherstomp, its just the most practical
backnair aether > downthrow upair > downtilt fair > the rest
probably grab combos
I like to do Dthrow aether at low percentage (less than 25%) for people who block often. This seems effective even in elite.
@@Chris-vx5kp people can SDI out of that , but is good to know if your opponent can do it or not early
something pretty cool which you forgot is on a lot of heavyish/bigish characters at literally 0%, d-throw uptilt works, and since you get the very latest hitbox most of the time, it's possible to get true combos out of that up-tilt, which is pretty specific, but I think worth mentioning as a mixup.
I find that Down Throw to Up Tilt works on a good chunk of the cast.

You can get down tilt -> bair at 0% pretty consistently if you attack cancel the back air.
It helps and I mention it in my guide for the combo!

Sort of? I go for it sometimes to catch jumps and it feels true on bad airdodges, but you’re never going to get it true on frame 2 airdodges in my experience. I’ll have to test it

How to nair and hit with ike
Solo have you tried jab locking with ike at early % landing with the last hit of Fair?... the launch angle seems good but I believe it would only work easily on big characters.
It can work but unfortunately we don’t get too much crazy reward off of it, maybe a dtilt bair or something but it’s often not worth the trouble

I have such a hard time starting with the up air. Like I just haven’t mastered the input. Is it just short hop, instantly up air, instantly fast fall? And are you hitting jump and A simultaneously or is there a timing thing for those? I’m a noob, sorry lol
It’s easier if you use the C Stick for the aerial
When you say that nair instant double jump dair at 44% is hard I think you mean impossible I’ve been sitting here for 30 minutes trying to get it to be a true combo and it never is
Hey just got back into smash after years of not playing, I was a brawl player used to main lucario but started playing smash ultimate like a month and a half ago and have grown a liking to Ike, Ness, captian falcon and little Mac, rn I'm trying to improve my Ike game, I was just wondering if you guys have any recommended controller settings that could maybe enhance my game play, I use a standard pro remote. Any tips would be appreciated
Not sure how pointless this may be, but I personally play with the right stick set to tilt attacks and the left stick sensitivity set to low! It's been at least 2 years, so you very well have probably moved past this and maybe don't even play anymore, but thought I'd offer my two cents, anyways!

Yeah it is true at low percents, unless they di in I think. But then, I also think you can reverse Aether on reaction to catch that.
It’s a thing if they don’t DI well, I use it to cheese stocks sometimes

How do you get him to jump so low? Every time i click the jump button Ike jumps so high
Ha! Just figured it out. Clicking X+A at the same time.
Its all about how hard you press the jump button, there’s a macro where pressing two jump buttons at the same time will always give you a short hop so I bind my right trigger to jump then press X to get short hops consistently
