06:57 how do you instant ledge-drop into reverse Aether to punish and edge guard like that? I've tried to land that SO MANY TIMES and always either don't reverse, don't fall off the ledge and thus wind up reverse Aethering backwards while still on the stage to grab the ledge, or I just straight-up kill myself.

The problem is when you play as inkling? , holding the shield and B button only refils the ink without moving the shield with the analog stick Tip : When you go to the control settings , simply replace the ZL grab with Shield , one you fixed it , You can move the shield with two ZL shoulder buttons while you play as inkling , it's amazingly simple!

this is going to sound bad, but are use up smash at the middle of the platform on the left side or at a map like FD I’ll just stand near it, but not at the edge because then you can counter nearly every single get up

everyone has known about shield dashing since before Ultimate even came out. It was in smash 4 and probably brawl too

Getting warmed by my nephew in this game recently. Never been a smash player, tend to play 2D fighters anime or otherwise. His play style reminds me so much of being young and playing a fighting game just because it's a game I owned. I asked him for help and why he's warming me and smash, and he don't even know how to phrase it correctly. Something like this is the exact type of thing, I intuitively felt but would never have guessed it would be something like this. Not going to lie. I place smash like I play a shooter, or maybe even power stone if you old enough to get that reference. Way too many buttons per second. The problem was I didn't take the time to see the depth of the movement, just assumed my legacy skills what carry over to this, not fighting game... Lol. Just joking, it is funny to see the diverse ideas, conflicting, hating, views on what a fighting game should be.

Honestly, I'd be hard pressed to give any sprite before gen 4 above a C. And then models only became actually good in Scarlet & Violet. Even Sword & Shield seemed a bit awkward like, parts were flat and 'cut out'.

I'll still be playing in 2024 🗿🗿
