Terry can do his input moves by letting go of the button instead of pressing it. For example he can hold down A to start his jab, do the double quarter circle forward for Busterwolf, then just let go of the A button and Busterwolf comes out, but it is only the light input for his non super-special moves.

This tech was probably already suggested and was also explained by Marss, but I’ll put it here in case it hasn’t been suggested yet.
First enable a+b smash attacks. Do a dash in one direction and enter skid animation to dash the other direction. Without letting go of the turn around direction, during the skid animation start holding a+b. If you did it right, you should just start running the other direction, and no attacks should happen. Don’t let go of the direction you’re holding or a+b buttons, and just keep running until you get to a ledge. You’ll stick to the ledge and run in place!

I know you don’t main ness but any help with the ness djc magnet stuff would be helpful and dope, I know I can’t be the only person wondering about it. Just an idea for another video for you.

You can pivot your neutral b for a short slide, though you do turn around. But, if you b reverse your pivoted neutral b, you'll stay facing the same direction but slide backwards. Kinda useless but makes for a stylish platform tech chase with Ike. Might want to try this one in 1/4 speed.
I think this is because you do your turn around slide, but it gets cancelled, so you only do the slide.
To do it just run in one direction, then jam the stick in the other direction, let go, and press b.

If you do the pivot b reverse neutral b (isn't that technically a wavebounce) with Mythra she slides really far

@@gamesandluigifan7152 I think you're right it is a wavebounce but you also start your turn around animation. It works best with people like Ike who slide with their neutral b.

    Great topic, Solo!!
Short essay incoming. Here's one that is hardly talked about, which has insane benefits for certain characters-
    Dash Walking.
If you input a dash, hit down on the c-stick at the same time and then quickly release it (while NOT releasing the dash), your character will transition immediately from a run into a walking animation.
This has many applications. First and foremost, transitioning into a walk animation immediately gives you much more flexibility with your shield, giving you better odds of parrying and pushing into your optimal range when you fight projectile-heavy characters.
Secondly, it proportionally adds length to your dash depending on a number of factors, including the speed of your initial dash and how fast your character is on the ground. Characters with incredible dashes like Mythra, Greninja, and Fox all get a HUGE boost to their horizontal mobility. Not only do their threat ranges get exponentially bigger- you can mix dash walks in with regular dash dances to make your threat range extremely ambiguous.
A cornered character with a good dash walk can literally slip right under jumping opponents to claim middle stage. This is especially good for Greninja, since he keeps a low profile to begin with.
Lastly, it increases the range of your base shield dash, which is really useful as a means of pushing yourself in while playing against zoners.
That's all. Just your resident Fox main spreading the word! Thanks for reading my giant comment!

  • @Kenorbs

Kirby with crouch canceling is stupid, he had a frame 1 crouch option with dtilt that invalidates a ton of aerials, is moderately safe on shield because of pancaking, and takes less knockback when hit.

@@illford not a waveland, nope. I meant airdodge from tumble into tech. It's a way you can move one direction then another to make your techs slightly less reactable. You have to airdodge right before (maybe 20 frames or less) into the ground (similar to a waveland input, yes but in tumble) and it transitions into a tech. Pretty cool imo

Okay my best advice is to look for patterns and then play Rock, Paper, Scissors. (When you approached them what do they do? Paper=projectile, Rock=attack/grab, or Scissors=shield/out of shield options.) Whats your gsp? Because tbh if you don't have great fundies its really hard to pick the right option. Cuz you might jump over projectiles and land hit but then they start attacking then you don't know what to do. You can bait and punish (like pretend to jump in but back off and then punish). If they spam projectiles and you run up shield and they grab; you can spot dodge, jump, bait and punish. Tbh is really hard to explain all of smash but honestly people who projectiles spam teach you basically every options you need to learn. Except for some other important funnies like conditioning and changing tempo.

Two things. First they really need to fix parrying in this game. Sometimes it helps and sometimes it does not and it is confusing on the role parry is supposed to play.
Second, are we sure that the knock back being reduced when crouching is not because of DI? I say this because if you DI down which is the same direction that crouching is then you would reduce knock back. However, if you don't di then you wouldn't be reducing any knock back so it makes sense why you fly out further.
