Beating Malenia with Melee (Hookclaws), no Mimic Tear, no summons, no shield, at level 112

This was the hardest thing I've ever done in 20+ years of gaming shoutout to Malenia for only making me dodge one waterfowl dance this attempt
Malenia, Blade of Miquella is almost one of the most awesome bosses in Souls history but is completely ruined by that move, if she uses it too close to you you have no time to react and basically guaranteed die to a nuke, it's extremely bad design and only an extreme masochist (me) would try to beat her in this way. Help, there is clearly something wrong with me, if you've ever attempted this boss you will understand how horrible this was for my sanity

The thing I love about the Hookclaws is that they’re so light, so you can wear an armour set you really enjoy and not have to worry about going into heavy weight territory

The only reason I beat her is because bleed is broken. Her bullshit move would have been so much better as a “get off me” aoe or like Judgement Cut End. How it is now just isn’t good.

Most bullshit thing ever put in a fromsoft game. Makes no sense that it’s here the way that it is. This boss should have taken me a couple of hours at most but instead took me almost 10 because of this move’s RNG
