Floyd knew he needed to make people want to pay to see him lose and to "shut him up" and " put him in his place." And it worked even better than he thought.
He saw that nobody could promote him better than himself. Bob Arum actually did have some some success by promoting Floyd as "pretty boy" - he was an Olympic Bronze medalist who was confident but not cocky and gave a very "friendly" persona.
And yeah a lot of boxers have a very self-obsessed persona but in a solo sport you almost have to.
So Floyd is actually not the guy he wants us to believe he is.
Oh and while Calzaghe is an ATG he is not on Floyd's level of greatness. Floyd is a top 3 to 5 ATG.

It’s divided. The fights are out there (if you’re following) but some don’t come to fruition because of those things. If you’re not following boxing it’s easy to say it’s not any good fights. If you’re following it you can see where it can improve to where its popular and entertaining again.
