Stephen A googled “greatest boxing fights of all time” when he had his head down lmao 😂
Thats exactly what he was doing.
100%....this dude had no prior knowledge of these fights.
Comment of the day!!!
C'mon guys. Y'all haven't watched his training videos, the man clearly grew up around the sport lmfao
bahahhhaah best comment
Stephen A.: "What about Balboa vs Creed"
Deniz Demir great fight !
Lmao great comment
Greatest fight of all time lol
Lmaoooooooooo
👏👏 sounds about right for SAS
Stephen sounded like me when I was a kid trying to join my uncles sports conversations 😂
gustavo juarez totally
gustavo juarez 😂
Indeed.
Gotta start somewhere bro 😂😂
💯
Stephen A. "Let me chime in...."
Even Molly was like, nooooo!!!!
Emmanuel Enyinwa He should’ve stayed quiet!
😂😂
Stephen A should of have taken this segment off, he looked lost just nodding his head acting like he knew what Max was saying
Of course he had to make up for it by shouting in his “hype” voice.
He’s just showing respect, because ESPN boxing will always be Kellerman, Atlas for me.
He does know though
Stephen A. literally named like 85-90% of the same fights Max said in a way as if it wasn't mentioned to begin with.
i skip him so it's nice to hear the repeat from stephen. i bet he said it better? lol
mike brighton he didn’t actually. Max’s specialty is boxing so he actually sounded more informed for once. Stephen was out of his element.
Yeah Stephen A. should have just kept quiet on this segment 😂
Corpy Hogan he came on talking loud for nothing 🤦🏾♂️
As if Stephen A. is capable of keeping that mouth shut.
Stephen did the right thing. He let the experts talk. An interviewer needs to know when to keep his mouth shut and let his guests talk.
Right
He’s just repeated everything Teddy Atlas and Max said 😂😂😂
Stephen A should not be within 6 feet of this discussion! "Social Distancing!"
Max either
Smh
@@PBNG70 stfu pleb, max an og boxing expert now.
😄😄😄
Stephen A definitely should NOT have chimed in for a second. He really had no idea what Teddy and Max were talking about
This Teddy Atlas guy sure is enthusiastic about boxing huh
Hagler v Hearns codenamed: WAR
The only reason I wouldn't have that on my list is because it only lasted 2 rounds. That said, the first round was the single greatest round in boxing history.
@@rayshardrobinson7878 I think you're referring to Hagler v Leonard
@@valzod3808 Nah, you're all mixed up
It was the first round that made people talking about itthe other 2 was "slow",ive seen matches go to 12-15 rounds and having similar rounds as Hagler hearns and yet the y continued with moore exitement.when people ask for best match i dont even think about Hagler Hearns.
@@gfear24 3 rounds
We need Max to go on an episode of Teddy’s podcast. These guys are not only boxing fans, but boxing geniuses. Hearing these dudes discuss boxing is amazing
Max being a boxing genius is a step to far guy
@@GgCashh451 you living up to that name well
Max at his best 🙌🏻
Nobody ever mentions Leonard vs duran the 1st fight
It was great for historical fight, but it was more technical than action packed imo
Hagler hearns
Emperor Dubu Hearns was coming up from a lighter weight division to challenge Hagler who was in his backyard as a natural middleweight. Not spectacular as the clear favorite prevailed.
I agree with you, that one had it all imo.exitement, action, good vs evil and 2 guys throwing all they had, best match ive seen.
@@DaBearsManiac huh? Duran came after him the whole fight
The look on Steven A's face says "everytime teddy comes on I become the 'molly' of the convo"
😂😂😂
Underrated comment, I vote
For me, there is a difference between "Greatest" and "Most significant" when it comes to these conversations. I'll 100% agree with Teddy about Max Schmeling vs Joe Louis at Yankee Stadium on the eve of WW2 as the most significant boxing match of all time. The greatest match, I would argue, is "The Thrilla in Manilla" Mohammed Ali vs Joe Frazier part 3.
Seeing Teddy and Max fan girl over the greatest fights of all time is what I love about boxing. It brings people together, makes grown men act like giddy children, and on top of that literally makes history in some cases.
Atlas is such a great story teller. I could listen to him all day everyday.
max in his element
This is what we’d rather see than mj lebron everyday. Talk about some of the future of nba too like shat young teams do you see winning in the next 3-5 years like celtics NOLA Dallas Atlanta Memphis etc etc etc
They post what will generate the most views and sure enough MJ or Lebron generates views Lol it sucks but that’s just the reality
Corpy Hogan facts. No one’s going to watch talking about atlanta
Minus Atlanta you’re right
Talk about it.....grizz look promising but free agents wont go there .....maybe pelicans can attract talent to go with zion and Celtics have the most pieces aat the moment and tatum is going to be a superstar
The pelicans can be serious championship contenders in 2 years. Ingram already an all star at 22, I can see him being at least on the level of player like Paul George or better. Zion can be one of the best in the league, and lonzo at the point, he’s never going to average 25 a game but I can see lonzo being an all star with averages like 16/18ppg, 10 assist and 7/8 rebounds. Along with players like Josh Hart, Favors, Hayes, and maybe even JJ Reddick altogether can be a great team.
When Teddy passes
... we're gonna lose one of the last links to the Wonder Years of this sport.
Sucks... 😔
Sav Harris you ain’t never lied
@@kaelynsworldcodenameduda Is Larry Merchant still living?
Sav Harris yea he is still living he even has a podcast I forgot the name of it he was still talking about Floyd 3 months ago lol
Yeah i was hurt when bert sugar died and im only 30. I NEED these voices lol
@@unbiasedunbothered9270Him and Lou Duva were our links to the Ali's and Ray Robinson's.
Gatti V Ward. Hands down.
Hearns Leonard number one the greatest fight of all times
@@anthonypoindexter6223 Castillo vs corrales better than gatti v ward too
Stephen a this segment:
What about?
What about?
What about?
What about?
What about?
What about?
What about?
What about?
What about?
We get all that!
I could listen to Max and Teddy talk boxing for hours.
Max mentioned Corrales vs Castillo once on ESPN 710 and for the longest time I couldn’t remember the names. THANK YOU
Diego Chico Corrales vs. El Temible Jose Luis Castillo 1 yeah I was angry at the ending but that was a BATTLE OF BLOOD & GUTS!!!
Hagler v Hearnes round 1
Best Round Ever Fought - Hands down!!
The Pacquiao-Marquez fights deserve mention with the bests of all-time, all those fights were unbelievable.
You can see how proud Stephen A feels for naming all those fight 🤣
just spouting random good fights out there lmao
CodeBreaker Not really
@@jaobille79 that’s literally the segment question lol
Good Stuff !! Love the heart of boxing coming out of Teddy 👍
Great take now I have a bunch of fights to watch👏
I could listen to TEDDY ATLAS talk about boxing all day long he's a fountain of knowledge when it comes to boxing as far as the other to not so much but much respect to TEDDY ATLAS !
Ward Gatti is the best boxing trilogy I've ever seen. Loved Teddys analogy of it being like reading a book, chapter by chapter.
Between that and Barrera Morales trilogy it's a tough pick. Those fights were grueling and changed those careers. I think Morales deserves credit for stretching his career beyond those brutal bouts
They don’t need to be compared against each other…just appreciated
I would agree!
I'm nowhere near a "boxing fan", but respect the sport. This was the best FT take I have ever seen. Thank you Teddy Atlas for your energy, passion, knowledge, and MESSAGE to the human race to not give up during this pandemic!
Hearing Max talk boxing is so refreshing!
Duran vs Leonard 1 would be my pick, also Manny vs Morales 1 and Bowe vs Holyfield (all of them), Joshua vs Vladimir Klitschko best of the last decade
Manny Morales 1 is my favorite fight ever
Arguello vs Pryor 1
Bowe vs Holyfield all day
Barrera Morales 1 another honourable mention
Guys watch Holyfield vs Cooper, you'll change your mind.
Was Stephen A just waiting for his turn to speak 😂😂😂 and not listening to what the guys were saying before him cause a good 2 or 3 of the fights he said were previously mentioned 🤦🏿♂️
Exactly 😂😂😂
Stephen just had a short attention span. Love the guy nonetheless.
Stephen A wrote a list of fights beforehand that he wanted to recite in order to have something to say, especially considering the other 2 are true boxing experts.
He could saw , Basilio vs DeMarco , Zale vs Graciano , Moore vs Durrelle , LaMotta vs Robinson 6
If every boxing match was like foreman vs Lyle, there would be no UFC
False the reason boxing isn’t what it use to be is because first of all there’s to many greedy promoters, secondly boxing rarely makes the super fights we want to see and if they do they’ll take forever to make it happen, but the biggest reason the ufc is taking over is because people like real fighting now a days boxing is one aspect of fighting while ufc is all aspects
@@darianp2294 and the best fight the best with in 3 months of announcing the fights
@@darianp2294 Hello no. As yourself this, in a boxing match, what would happen if McGregor fought Canelo or GGG? McGregor gets starched inside of 3 rounds. Now, what happens if McGregor fought Canelo or GGG in the cage? McGregor wins, maybe by submission, but does not KO Canelo or GGG. Why? because when it comes to punch delivery and punch resistance, there is simply no comparison between boxers and MMA fighters, boxers are simply tougher.
@@jacobrivas5459 you must be forgetting about kicks in mma. Lol. They could very well get knocked out and probs would be by a kick.
Jacob Rivas mcgregor would knock them out in mma, your forgetting kicks, knees and elbows
Arguello - Pryor I should get some love here.
Arguello stepped up in weight, trying for an unprecedented world title at a 4th weight class, unanswered question, what if Pryor stepped down, nobody knows!!!
@@t-squared6406 That was an amazing fight. Two Hall of Famers at their best, just great stuff. No idea who would win if Pryor went down.
@@Braktooth I assume you're being ironic since Max and Stephen A. both mentioned and Teddy agreed as well. It already got a lot of love.
That's my pick
Yes
Leonard vs Duran 1. Amazing fight.
And I always thought the constant close up camera for Ali/Frazier 3 took something away from the fight.
Mike Tyson said this was his favorite fight. And it’s mine, also 🥊🥊
Hagler Vs Duran is one of my favorite fights to study. Its one of the greatest displays of pure skill in its perfect element. For Duran to go up that many classes; against that quality of opponent, with the same set of skills and a completely unique bag of tricks..... and make it competitive for that many rounds, is unheard of.
Oscar De La Hoya vs Shane Mosley. That was an insane fight
Both of those fights were great although I still think Oscar won the 2nd.
Corrales vs Castillo I is still the best fight I’ve ever seen
Yup this is right. Most satisfying tho..Maidana vs AB.
My favourite fight. I put barerra morales 1 on that level too and Gatt Ward 1 aswell
I just said the same thing...best fight I’ve ever seen
I love any of the fights between Vasquez v Marquez. Or Morales v barrera trilogy
Greatest fight of all time ... ALI vs Frazier
SAS is like: “What am I saying?” 🤯
KSI vs Logan Paul 😂😂😂
Hagler v Hearns was the first "Super Fight" I saw and will always be my favourite.
Max just tries to troll when they talk about other sports but it’s great to see him in his element when they talk about boxing.
Good, a variety of topics.
I can only go off what I've seen in my lifetime
Hagler vs. Hearns was a war
Ali vs. Foreman actually showed the science boxing
Ward vs. Gatti 1 showed the heart you have to have for this sports
Imo
Duran vs Sugar Ray 1. That fight was dammm awesome!
Pls more of this content
Erik Morales vs Marco Antonio Barrera I (Feb 19, 2000) That was savage
Gatti/Ward 1.
seeing Max in his element is epic!!!
All fights mentioned were brilliant.
Finally a segment that isn't a instant thumbs down as soon as video starts.
Thumbnail makes it look like max is talking to himself in the future
Teddy seems like the type of dude who washes his morning meal down with vodka
Hagler Vs Hearns
Ali vs Frazier 1 was dope!
Gotta go with Ali vs Frazier 1 cause like Max said it was a combination of significance and action. Few fights exceeded the hype that it drew and this was one of them witn two of the greatest boxers of all time.
Ward vs Gatti was the one for me
No one mentions Barrera - Morales 1. That fight was as good a fight as any you will ever see.
That’s my 2nd favorite rivalry behind Israel Vazquez Vs Rafael Marquez.
3:14 Stephen a reaction after that epic
Soliloquy 😂😂😂🤣🤣🤣
Castillo v Corrales was greatest fight of this era
Johnson vs Sullivan, Ali vs Foreman, Leonard vs Hearns, plus the rest these guys named... There are so many...
felix trinidad vs B. hopkins is one of my fav fights of alltime..
More combat sports coverage please!!!
Agreed
Manny Pacman vs Erik Morales was incredible too but Hearns vs Hagler is incredible
Great ones, Teddy, agree wholeheartedly.
Legend says that Stephen A still asking “What about”
I think one of the greatest fights, irrespective of the weight class, they hype and the build up was phenomenal was Roberto Duran vs Sugar Ray Leonard I, what a slugfest that was
I concur wholeheartedly.
Meldrick Taylor vs Julio Caesar Chavez. Best. Fight. Ever.
What do you think about the decision
Haven't seen it but I don't think it'll surpass Holyfield vs Cooper.
@@GangGreen80 I think the ref did a good job of stopping it. Taylor looked finished. He probably should have been more conservative in the final round since he was up in the score cards but that wasnt his style I guess. It cost him big time though
Z06 i we ranked the 30 best fights last 35 years,in how many would Holyfield be in? 😊
Id have at least 5 with him 😊 dont think any other has been in so many wars as he did.
How tf was Gatti vs Ward 1 not mentioned or any of them from the trilogy?
Chaves vs meldrick taylor best fight ever!, Another honourable mention is barrera morales 1
Barrera morales 1 was my pick. That was the most back and forth fight I ever seen. N a straight slugfest the entire time. I miss HBO boxing for that reason, stars were made in those fights
@@joshlewis575 Unreal fight, guys didnt like eachother which makes it that much more interesting, i had barrera winning that fight but what an epic trilogy see a picture of them eating dinner together other week only boxing could bring 2 men who hated eachother together
MAYWEATHER VS. BRONER!!! Greatest runner of all time! 😂😂
I was born in 1980 and started watching boxing with my uncles around 1990. The 2 greatest fights I remember watching and have never forgotten till this day are Mayweather vs Castillo 1 and Corrales vs Castillo 1. Mayweather fight is unforgettable to me because I was a huge Mayweather fan and I was sure I had just watched Castillo hand him his first loss. Corrales fight was just 2 beasts displaying pure heart to the very end! Greatest fights of my lifetime in my opinion!
Pacquaio Marquez 3
Muhammad Ali vs Joe Frazier “ Thriller in Manila
If u mention Foreman vs Lyle you should also mention Cooper vs moorer. in the same breath.that fight was real familiar
Moorer’s fight with Alex Stewart is similar to that one too.
Castillo/Corales 1.. Still remember watching it live - the greatest fight i ever saw.
Lupe Pintor vs W. Bazooka Gomez MUST SEE! Brutal VICIOUSNESS ON A VIDEO GAME LEVEL WITH BOXING CLASS
Sugar Ray Leonard vs Roberto Duran is the best fight ever in my opinion. Absolutely electric.
Rumble in the Jungle - surprised no one mentioned that fight.
Ali vs Foreman still for me was the best fight I've ever seen, with the perfect ending
Agreed
Was lookin for it
Honorable mention,hagler vs herns,
Cooper vs morrer
Arguello vs Pryor 1 the best fight to me...
FOR PURE ACTION THIS WAS IT. NON STOP FROM ROUND ONE!🥊
Hagler v Mugabi was a great fight
Best fight of all time. Chavez vs taylor 1. two boxers at their prime, skills, action, drama, had it all.
Tony Zale vs Rocky Graziano trilogy. 👍🏻 I was at the 2nd fight
trilla in manilla is the best ive ever seen looks like it belonged in a movie
Another great fight they didn’t mention sugar Ray Leonard vs Roberto Duran 1 brawl in Montreal was 15 rounds of pure action
Norton/Holmes Ward/Gatti Chacon/Limon Chacon/ Edwards Leanord/Hearns Ali/Frazier Sanchez/ Gomez
The fact is my favourite sport boxing at it's best is better than all other sports. It does not deliver consistently the same way our favourite team sports do but at it's best it is the best
Barrera vs Morales , Salvador Sanchez vs Gomez , Corrales vs Castillo, Castillo vs Mayweather 1st fight
Man these guys make me wanna watch boxing. When I was a kid we could watch it on regular tv. Now unless I pay for cable or pay preview I don’t get to watch them. Same with blazer games unless I have Comcast sports net or tnt or ESPN I don’t get watch a single game. Greed hurting us fans.
Salvador Sanchez vs Wilfredo Gomez another great pick for greatest matches of all time.
Greatest fights of all time (Not including any Ali fights) = Hagler/Herns, Gatti/Ward and Barrera/Morales I
Chavez vs Taylor and Argüello vs Pryor... I think those two fights were epic in the day
Best fight I ever saw was Chavez - Meldrick Taylor 1
Good pick
