I always found it funny how Emirates crew would check-in to our hotel in a seniority order. It was even funnier to see how crew was confused if they had a more relaxed Captain, First Officer and Purser who didn't stick to this rule. Moreover - OUR STAFF felt confused too. 😉
Any job that has to do with flying should be quite an interesting job, because you visit different parts of the world. Every job has challenges, but once there's the passion for the job, one would overlook the negative aspects .

I feel sad because I fly always. But Flight Attendant has hard life too much work if customers are bad ... I feel pity for these hardworking ladies keep us happy with food and services ..very tried..
Once a new joinee couldnt fit 42 trays in her cart, the senior crew made her remove all the trays and fit exactly 42 trays.. imagine the torture. I am talking about one of the Indian very well known airlines😅

I got this one from my friend who still works with Emirates because she couldn't wear it to work any more, it has stains on it, so she gave it to me. It's not allowed to keep any 'good' pieces of uniform after we resign, but if it's like this hat - old and used, they usually don't ask us to return it :)

Hi :) yes, after we finish the service and our turn of 'we care' we have time to relax in the galley and eat, but we stay on 'standby' in case someone presses a call bell, and every 15 min we check all the lavatories. Only on very long flights like 16h we get 2h in crew rest compartment where we can sleep. We usually just say our names at the beginning of briefing, only some pursers ask for full introduction like name, nationality, for how long have you been flying, what skills do you have that can be helpful for the crew
The food on typical menus are typically a medley of what are really just "space age" rations. Sort of melanged together to create a balanced meal and then vacuum sealed for transportation. It's funny the way the airlines serve passengers their meals, it's as if they are preparing you for the ensuing flight. If flight times can be made shorter, all the airlines really need to bother with is just keeping their passengers hydrated.
+lara atkinson Hey 🙂 the only required language for cabin crew is English, knowledge of any other language is considered just as additional asset. They hire many English native speakers without knowledge of other languages. It doesn't disqualify you 🙂
is it true some cabin crew girls will go down on you if they like the look of you? secretly i mean while everyones alseep and you have to sign agreement not say anything?
Hi :) thank you so much. Yes, skin color is definitely not a problem. There's many African crew in Emirates and they are doing great in the company. They are good as supervisors as well, (from my experience) African supervisors are usually more chill and less picky, it's fun to work with them :)
