  • Dad said, "the freezer is looking empty"...so I did something about it on this cold, frosty halloween morning 2020...
    Main camera used to film the hunt was my Sony CX 900 on a Fourth Arrow Stiff Arm with a custom aluminized base. The 2nd angle was captured with Sony AS50 action cam sync'd to a remote.
    The bow I used for this hunt was once again my Timberghost Archery G3SS recurve....56", #53@ 28"
    www.timberghos...
    The arrow was a 3 , 4" feather fletched Beman carbon shaft tipped with a VPA 1 1/4" 200 grain glue-on 3 blade, on a 100 grain steel adapter. Total arrow weight was right at 630 grains.
    As usual....please mash that like button, the bell icon to get notified when new vids drop, and please subscribe if you like what you see...it's greatly appreciated!
    If you want to look for me on Facebook it's just...Curt Cabrera...

    Up next Kansas 2020 featuring the biggest buck I've ever passed up, and an unbelievable shot on a last morning non-typical...stay tuned!!

    Nicely done on this hunt sir, enjoyed your view point as well as the moment of silence towards the end of the video. Keep up the great work and know you have a new sub.

    Man, Curt! Perfect shot, tune, woodsmanship, camera work. Composure, respect for the animal and mindfulness of the life taken. Quiet approach as to not disturb the woods around you doing its thing and a moment of silence ... no plugs, no extra blabla... I am so impressed man! Congrats! Cheers Max

    2:25, That was a lot of movement to get your bow off the hanger and get turned back around to get ready for the shot. That has me wondering what I look like and I may have to rethink my placement of the bow. That could cost ya some day. Just food for thought Curt..

      The struggle of self filming as a left handed bowhunter and preferred camera control hand being your right hand. Curt’s system and process is fruitful!!

    How high up do you hunt ? And do you have a lot of cover behind you? I feel like I never get away with that much movement where I hunt they would bust me every time, nice shot !!

    • @curtguru
      @curtguru  Před 3 lety +1

      This hunt I was about 15ft., without much cover since the leaves had already fallen. Not sure, I guess after hunting for many years I know when to move. But everyone gets caught at time....I'm no different..
