- My door handle would open just fine from the inside, but would not open from the outside. SO FRUSTRATING. It's an easy enough fix for a beginner, and I think this works for 2012 2013 2014 2014 and 2016 Velosters. The part is a little tricky to find and costs $80-$90.

Was able to repair my door handle with the video. I bought that new part and installed it but I think the latch might have just come loose in the original. Either way my door works now. Thank you!
Thanks for the video it helped a ton. When putting the door handle frame part (white) around the 10:00 mark make sure to line up the lock portion first by having the frame towards the engine in the car and then move it back like 1mm and you'll be lined up otherwise you'll spend a good amount of time trying to get the lock cylinder and the 10mm nut to line up. 12:10 is the part of the video that you'll avoid if you align the white frame correctly.
To add to this comment:
The plastic piece on the lower edge where the lock goes through has to sit OUTSIDE the sheet metal of the door. If you look closely you’ll see a notch on the plastic where it needs to ride on the sheet metal of the door. If you don’t get this in place properly then you will never get that 10 mm bolt lined up to screw into the lock.

This video just helped me replace the driver’s side lock actuator in my 2013 veloster... a few addt’l steps with the keyless entry but it was overall a very similar process. Thank you much!!
Can confirmed this worked just finished doing it, my handle was a little loose and unresponsive at first but after locking and unlocking a few times it worked just like normal

thx i have the same issue and couldn't find anything on the internet. Mine won't even hold the door closed so i have to lock them for it to work. How do you call that part you replaced?

It appears the cable from the handle goes into a gear box. From there the two cables go to the door handle. Somewhere in that gear box is what breaks.
Can you add the link to eBay? I assume the extra plugs were for keyless entry?
