Yo! a tip for anyone watching this: for drilling out rivets, pick a bit thats larger than the hole of the rivet and drill until the top falls off. You dont have to pry and damage your door.

I hope you didn't do this because of the common rattling sound. All you need to do in that situation is re-glue that little silver dust cap on the center of the speaker. Common problem with these speakers and that makes them sound like new.

Awesome! Thanks for making this video! My little Veloster needs some new speakers. What is the brand & specs for the speakers that you used to replace the old ones with? Please share 🙏 Thanks :)

So I’m about to be changing the 4 round door speakers in my gfs car for Christmas because the front driver and passenger front are failing. I’m very good at rigging things so I’ll be using this method.
    What diameter are those speakers??
It’s hard to get in her car and measure myself. Without her knowing.

I believe they were 6.5” it would recommend the same size as the factory but you can go by whichever brand speakers you prefer

I’m so disappointed Hyundai made this freaking complex. I’ve never even used my drummel tool before. Thought I was gonna have a quick time with my passenger door, but looks like I actually have to work 😫

Yepp quite tricky! Nothing better than the old simple classic car setup.

Speakers are over kill for the 15-20rms the stock unit is pushing

The speakers are all powered by a factory amp running 450 rms the headunit is not responsible for the power going to the speakers , in fact the head unit acts as a pre amp for leveling purposes this why the bass lowers as the volume increases to protect the factory components from blowing

Do you realize there are large portions of this video where you're giving verbal instructions but we can't understand you because you've sped up the video/sound? :(
