Thanks. I am 78 and will have an evaluation next week. This helps a great deal in preparing me for what’s ahead.
I am 73 and will get an evaluation on April 10.
I am 68 years old and have been deaf for 35 years. I have been wearing hearing aids for 25 years. It took more than 8 months to evaluate the cochlear implant candidacy. I finally had a cochlear implant surgery on September 25, 2023. I am recovering. The implanted cochlear implant will be activated after 6 weeks. I hope It brings me a new state of life.
How is your hearing with cochlear implant?
Nice and well organized rapport creating video. It almost made me ''touch the speech''. Calm voice and very eloquent presentation.
What if ? We want to remove the implant?
Very interesting overview of the cochlear implant. I‘m 72 and will be having my assessment in two weeks. My chief concern is how I will hear music, since it is a big part of my life.
The other concern is how this will affect my hobby of experiments with very high voltages and strong magnetic 🧲 fields. I think 🤔 I might have to give up this activity because of the sensitive implant (the outer piece, of course can be removed.
Finally, I’d recommend to edit ✍️ out all of the “first and foremost” phrases, as these were said half a dozen or so times.
