Great video - thanks for posting it. I have a 2011 RXV 48v cart that just died tonight. I just put 4 T1275 Trojans in it. Drove it a half dozen times and it was fine. Took it about 1/4 mile and turned to a friends place it off. Went to take it back home an hour later and it won’t do a thing. Batteries showed 51v total. I turn the key to any position and get nothing.. Maybe key switch? I will try some of your trouble-shooting tips. Hope the controller isn’t fried.

I have a txt48 that will not go. The solenoid just clicks on and off real fast when given gas but doesn't move. I've changed the controller, solenoid, and its and it still does the same thing. I've given the solenoid voltage straight from the battery and still won't go. Could it be a bad wire harness?

What does battery voltage show. Normally when that happens the controller is bad. Have you tested the motor to make sure it’s good. And yea it could be wiring harness if you have. I have a fleet of 48v TXT models and one of them will run in reverse but not forward. I have checked the forward and revers switch but it is fine. I've had issues with the inductive throttle sensor on some of my other carts but I feel like it wouldn't go forward or revers if that was the issue. A year or so ago this particular cart had a few nicked wires in the wiring harness where it runs through the frame on the underside of the cart. I cut and spliced the wires back together and this solved the problem. Since I don't do this everyday I forgot what method I used to troubleshoot this problem. I remember jumping a wire from somewhere but I can't remember exactly how I did it. Any ideas?

I would flip the wires on the f n r switch. And see if it runs forward and not reverse. If it does then you know its switch if it don't its probably a wire. Do that test and let me know what you find and will tell you next text.

Hi Christy, appreciate the video, I recently bought a dead EZGO TXT. Got it back home and found all 6 Trojan batteries to be dry (its a 36V cart). I took all the batteries out, cleaned them up and filled them with distilled water. I charged them all independently and re-installed in the cart. After a few charge cycles, the cart seems to be working and I've been using it for odd jobs about the place.
However, the other day, I tried to use it with my (large friend) as a passenger and it stopped after a few feet. When he got out I was able to drive it again. Having not had one before, I'm not sure what it can and can't do, so i'm not sure whether this is indicative of the other issue I'm about to describe or whether I'm just asking too much of it.
Also after this incident, I tried to use it a day or so later and even though the charger was reporting full battery, it would try to move but wouldn't. I thought the batteries were shot (even though they were measuring 37V) but today I kept depressing the throttle up and down and eventually the cart started to move and I was able to drive it around again.

I have a 48v golf cart (motor sticker says 48v and I have 8x 6v batteries) it is a western elegante (mostly ezgo) but the sticker on the solenoid says 36 volts so my question is this, should the yellow wire from the key to the small terminal on the side of the solenoid be supplying 36 or 48 volts if the sticker on it says it's a 36v solenoid?
Does that also mean that it is only design to have 36v passing through the large terminals?

Great video Would be great to see one on 2000 txt 36v with same complaint. I tried your test on mine, and it doesn't have main battery voltage at solenoid(yellow wire) with key switch on.
All key switch wiring has continuity. and check for 36 volts at key switch nothing on white
or white yellow. Also nothing where those wires come out of controller. I'm hoping it isn't

I have a 2016 EXGO TXT 48v. I parked it just over a year ago. It sat in my garage for 2 winters without being charged. I thought I had unhooked the batteries, I did not. I got it out, plugged my charger in and it flashes 2 red lights indicating it has too much or not enough voltage. I then tried to charge each battery individually. They would charge and discharge within 45 seconds after being disconnected from the charger. I replace all 6 - 8 volt batteries and the cart wont move. I have voltage on both large posts of the solenoid with key on or key off, but when i turn key on the yellow trigger does go hot and back to 0 with key off. My batteries are reading 8.2 volts individually but when linked together they only read 32 volts. I charged each brand new battery and still the same reading.
So, then I started at the ignition and then moved on to the solenoid. Thinking It may have been bad I replaced it. With the old solenoid it DID click. With the brand new solenoid there is no click. I am getting the same reading as I was with the old one installed. I moved on to the flat plug you showed at the end of this video and I have constant voltage on the red, Key on or key off. And It looks like I have no voltage on the white with key on or key off. What should I look at next?
