Bill Maher's problem isn't that he's a centrist. I don't think there's any sin in being politically moderate. Bill's problem is that he thinks he's smarter than he is. He suffers from The Dunning-Kruger effect. He was right about Trump though. He said Trump wasn't going to give up power peacefully, and he nailed that one.

The serious and systematic approach on dealing with racism in the United States of America is as important as when Germans had to work out their relationship to the Holocaust after WW2.
It hurts, feels often wrong for those participating but it is the only way to deal with history in order to understand one another and to reach an understanding.
It is a very difficult process, as there are people who until today feel the echoes of segregation and the prejudice of racism.
The process is also difficult, as racism needs to be defined properly, it is not just the prominent “white on black” racism, but has many facets and can be prevalent in any community.
But first we have to accept that there is racism and that it is keeping large parts of the US population back and down, that has to stop.
A long time ago I used to watch this guy on Fridays, but, without warning this guy turned into a Vane. Now, he is just a toy for the wind.
Bill is a real disappointment. I am 76 and I remember enjoying his shows but no more.
Maher can’t have it both ways being anti pc while wanting right ring political correctness to Carter to right wing white bigots that eat that type of low iq shit up.

Re: 1968 Olympics in Mexico City. The NCAA Track and Field Championship was held in Provo, Utah at BYU. My parents were friends with the Ohio University track and field coach (Coach Huntsman) who went on to become that Olympics coach. In 1968 the Mormon Church did not allow any Black members. BYU (paid by Mormon Church) didn’t allow any Black athletes to stay at dorms on their campus. Coach Huntsman had to find hotels 50 miles away in Salt Lake City. SLC hotels ALSO discriminated against any person of color. The Black athletes were forced to sleep on their college buses! No wonder a few months later Smith and Carlos pumped black fists on the podium after medal win!

As a Canadian I probably know more about American history than most Americans, the reason for this is that not only was I taught Canadian history but I was also taught world history. Most Americans are of the mindset that if it didn't happen in America then it doesn't matter, this arrogance is well known throughout the world every time Americans travel to countries that are outside of America. Now you have an even bigger problem with conservatives trying rewrite or omit America's past, at no point has racism left American institutions because they were created by white people for white people. All nations have their own problems with immigrants but America literally wants to murder people because they had the misfortune of not being born in America, the only people that have the right to complain about immigrants is Native Americans who had to deal with illegal immigration from European Colonizers.

Last week’s New Rule was one of the least informative and funny segments I’ve ever seen since I started watching him back in 2015.
