I've found that having a night-shift cleaner / researcher works great, because they can actually finish cleaning and get to research while everyone else is sleeping rather than making a mess all over the place lol

Nutrient paste now also only lasts a day. I guess they want to enforce that there are options if you want travel food. Pemmican and travel meals

The pattern you're looking for made by subdividing squares is the Sierpinski (sp?) carpet.

The roof for the door is sorta correct. It's a similar issue as the the freezer cheese. When the door is trying to equalize the temps it's insanely hot and will auto-ignite the wooden or steel doors (which happened in stream). When unroofed, the temp is floored to the outside temp so can't auto-ignite, still vulnerable to lightning and fire tho.
I tend to make granite boxes and doors as a fire and forget method of protecting Geotherms. The speed doesn't matter since the only time you're there is for repairs/maint, and since stone can't ignite you can still roof it to protect the door from lightning

With the rotten corpses thing animals that die randomly out in the wild are usually forbidden by default so the colonists shouldnt go out hauling them even if you set up a rotting animal corpse storage

Quill, your audio settings are a bit off. Sometimes your voice is so low I can barely hear you and sometimes the volume is just right. It's a bit all over the place, like you're sometimes closer to the mic and sometimes further away. Almost feels like the mic wont quite register your voice when you're further away. It's weird, in Nexology run your voice volume was consistent and great the whole time. Oh, love your Rimworld series! :)

I was watching and wondering why would you ever make your pawns cook simple meals instead of just eating nutrient paste all the time? They use more resources, take longer to prepare.. and with ideology you can set it up so your pawns don't mind eating paste...Isn't nutrient paste like a cheat code? 😅

Only if you game the system every time to make them like it all the time. Like making everyone cannibals/psychopaths
