kinda feels like this playthrough is going to be quill insisting he is playing a mostly vanilla playthrough, complaining about something, then adding a mod next episode, which honestly I don't mind, I'm here for it

It would be nice if one could make bedrolls in, say, a tailor's bench, for them to be deployed. Having to construct them feels weird, and is pretty obnoxious to do so.
Caravan timings include (partial) sleep periods (& seasonal/local weather variations, if relevant), so if you look at the estimate at one time of the day (or night) it'll change when you look again at a different time
Bedroll quality (& fabric) affects price & sleep comfort ofc, but also affects tending/healing/immunity gain if you have wounded/infected after a battle. IME alpaca wool is the commonest textile to make the best bedrolls for this, but I haven't exhaustively compared every material available

That is an issue most CZcams's face. They just can't see the item even if it is right there. Meanwhile the viewers are screaming at the screen.
I think he was so afraid of staying any longer he just rushed out.
Quill I’m surprised you don’t have the mod called “Just Put It Over There” where anyone you trade with will bring items you buy and silver to your stockpile zone saving from hauling command clicks, and hauling for your pawns.

I think it's colourblind resources. There's also colourblind deep resources for the deep drills
24:05 - Several years on and Quill still can't fathom why one would prioritize temporary work over constant work.
Hauling, cleaning, crafting (unless it has a do forever job) are temporary. Yes, they take travel time but once they're done, they're done! But still setting it to low priority under constant jobs then wonders why it never gets done. So frustrating to watch this mistake made playthrough after playthrough.

Quill any chance you can turn up your voice or the game down? Hard to hear you sometimes over the game music. Love the series though
Hope has the beautiful trait, doesn't she? I think you're discovering why people consider beautiful on female colonists to be a bad thing. Simply put, male colonists are a lot more likely to attempt romance on females than the other way around, and pawn beauty highly increases this rate. I don't think Tynan ever altered this behaviour, so beautiful females can very much lead to pretty much permanent mood debuffs.
can thrumbos be tamed?
They can, but Quill doesn't often try. Sadly. I think they are like. The best pack animal, great at fighting, and everything, but they eat trees and are hard to tame if you don't have animal handling of at least 14-15. And I think failure sometimes get you hunted.
Yes, & it's something I always try to do on every one. There's only a 2% chance for a lvl 20 tamer, so it's pretty rare, but it's definitely possible (min skill 10) & IMO well worth going for, esp if you have a suitable tamer with an inspiration. There is 0% tame fail chance of maddening, & sadly they don't provide wool or milk :(
They sell really well live, & should you choose to slaughter them once tamed (to increase resource yield), the parts are pretty good cash as well if you don't use them for your pawns, but their real value is alive & working for your colony!
A thrumbo can sadly no longer be used as a pack animal, but its caravan speed is the best. They make excellent tanks in combat, even better than elephants (my second choice), & heal extremely well (& relatively quickly) from otherwise grievous wounds. They will haul, rescue etc on the local map
Despite the low success chance, IMO it's always worth trying for a tame if you can, rather than slaughtering the poor things. The feeling you get (as a player) when you have a success is an exquisite rush! :)

Please fix your sound level, it is to low compared to other stuff.
Has proper horror movie effect here...instead of why are they doing this it's more a case of why aren't u blowing up those blobs. Prob missed loads of good stuff on that distress call...I been finding archeotech limbs on most of them but u need to clear all the lumps
