Pazi88, thank you. I just made my own bench setup version using your video but I didn't use a dme harness like you though. I connected my wires directly to the dme and it works perfect. I used two plugs from a 20 pin PSU plug(computer fan plug that plugs into motherboard) for the smaller dme pins (88,60) and 3 slightly modified electrical connectors from a kit I got at harbor freight for the fatter pins (28,26,49).
Yeah I did the same previously. But it got quickly annoying, to plug in the pins separately every time.

I'm used to work with older 4 cylinder BMW engines (M40, M42, M43 and M44) as a Bertone Freeclimber II possessor and enthusiast, done a lot of engines swap in those little offroad.
And now I've started to work also on E36 cars for some drift!
Do you know if there is a way to read and write (it has a K-line...) the M44B19 Ecu?
I'm at the very beginning in ECU programming and I'm hoping to be able to use this engine and his controller unit to start doing some experiment!

Jälleen kerran loistava video. Onko tuolla vakiosiemensillä mitenkään mahdollista konfiguroida useampi moodi, jos vaikka haluaisi tehdä ns. "Sport ja ECO moden" taloudelliseen ajoon? Olisi mukavaa nähdä myös lisää videoita siitä e39. Vähän houkuttelisi itsekin hankkia talviajoon smoothi vitossarjalainen, kun niiden hinnat on poljettu niin alas.
Ei nykyisellään, mutta on kehitteillä versio, missä luistoneston inputeista voi tehdä kartanvaihtoa tms. Mutta eipä nuo ole edes toisensa pois sulkevia tekijöitä. Itse ainakin aina säädän cruisailu alueen niin että bensaa kuluu mahdollisimman vähän. Ja sit täyskaasu alueen maksimi teholle. Eli kaasunasento määrää onko eco vai sport :D Ja joo suosittelen e39:n hankintaan. Ei ois itse ainkaan uskonut että tonnilla voi saada noinkin hyvän auton. Toimii korjausten jälkeen kuin junan vessa ja kyydit on erinomaiset. Kun vaikka vertaa että joskus koitti ettiä mk2/3 golffia tonnilla ja ne oli kaikki siihen hintaan aivan järkyttäviä romukasoja.
Hi. I'm soo tired about this. I connect everything like you but it still doesn't work. In Siemens Flash Tool is still no active partial or full flash button. I have KKL VAG-COM 409.1, he light led only when connect to USB, when only +12V connect nothing light in cabel. Mayby you know what is wrong??

If you open you bin in RomRaider and see what is there to tune, you can find those easily. Also check the properties. For example byte 8 properties.

Is there a easy way to make a MS41 control the dash in stead of Bosch 413 or other ECU? Not much of info how to do it, or I am looking in wrong places. Any tips?
Jokūbas Beniušis You mean like RPM gauge? It works just fine with ms41 also. No modifications needed.
I saw your video about intake - you said mixture on M50 intake with turbo is not correctly for each cylinder. I ask because also build turbo engine with your tutorial. Are you planned stay with MS 41 Ecu?
Yeah under boost it seems like that. But it's not very big deal. Just make sure that the AFR is rich enough under boost (like 11 AFR) so that even if some cylinder is leaner, it's not lean enough. I use ms41 in the cars that have that. But our both e30's will have ms3x.

Is there a way to source the big DME connector other than chopping it from harness? (I've seen that it's the same on M50 DME, but those harnesses aren't cheap either.)

That price is crazy. You're definitely better off getting it from a harness, even if it's a fully functional one.
That would be great. Yeah those are really expensive. I have seen cheaper also, but still about 100 usd/€. m40/m43 ecu uses same connector so it would be cheaper to get non working 316 e36 and get the connector from that, instead of buying new :D

Well I could but I would need to buy one first. And those are expensive to buy. Especially when I don't have need for one.

Yeah I will have video coming out about the MAF's. The calculations for PROPER maf scaling are not very easily explainable so I'm working on Excel sheet that would do that automatically. There is ones available , but those wont give good results.
Oh wait. I just might had found a way to do the tricky part in excel :D

The m50 block should have knock sensor spots also. At least m50 vanos block.
Aha, I didint now, ok but M50 was on Bosch ECU. I use RR - RR not reading DME. Hou have expirence - is this posiible to get maps from DME and put to MS41.0? Data only for knock sensos I mean.
Maybe. But just use m52b25 rom as starting point. It will be close enough,

hi. i have a m52b25 compact swapped with ms41 1429373 ECU. i wanted to load program 1429861 from @mrmc's post (www.romraider.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=42&t=11338&start=45) but during the installation the bar stopped at 13% and it showed a message about the end of the installation and turning the key off for 10 seconds. now the car does not start, does not display information about the driver and it is impossible to load a new program or read the old one ( full and partial) is there any way to load the program from MS41 Stock ROMs list from forum? please help :)

Netistä löytää tietoa kun sitä osaa etsiä ja yhdistellä tiedonpalasia sopivasti. Rautalohko b28 kampuralla, H-profiili kiertokanget, esim. cp takomännät 9-11 puristuksilla, e85 polttoaineena, athena cooperring kansipahvi, arp kannenpultit, jämyt nokat ja joku kunnon alumiinin painekotelo/plenumi. Kannet on aina alumiina ja ne kyllä kestää. Vanoksella saat laajemman käyttöalueen, mutta jos vaan huipputeho kiinnostaa, niin eipä sillä niin väliä.

hey sipa, i tried it today, but i cant get the LED on my vagcom cable to light up, what am i doing wrong?
It means that there is no 12v or/and ground there.
@@pazi88 how did u flash ms41 with a vagcom cable? I assume my cable does not support the flash option
@@sebastiantoft5694 vag com cable is just usb to serial to k-line adapter. It does nothing else and the communication itself is handled by pc software. So vag com cable is basically same as basic usb-inpa cable. Only difference is that in bmw specific ones pin 7 and 8 are bridged and in vag one those arent. So vag-com cable works by bridging those two.
