Still love the XBox. Facts. I just like gaming on it. Love backwards compatibility, Quick Resume, Cross Save, Cross Buy, Halo, Gears, Crackdown (yeah I know lol), and just the ecosystem. PlayStation is cool and all, I just like Xbox better. And of course THE CONTROLLER!!!

Yeah, the PS controller may have cool haptics, but I can't stand the way it is designed-I never have. I think it's the symmetrical analog sticks. To me, they are way too uncomfortable. I will take the Xbox controller any day of the week. As for Quick Resume, I use that all the time! It's awesome! I do use my PC to play Xbox games, too, but that Quick Resume is really nice.
I love xbox but I don't care about first party games!!! It's all about SEGA for me SEGA on xbox is a win win win for me!!!
They only put one of those Activision games on game pass so far and excuse was oh we didn't know it was going to close it's been 6 months now

What Microsoft should do is Have three Types of xbox ultimate One of them, just like Core for $100, 150 for ultimate no PC.

if they rase gamepas prices i will be cancelling my subscription i have most of the game i want to play however i use my xbox sometimes so it also lets me play online. however if it increased in price i will be cancelling my subscription.

I would be ok with new games not being released day one on Game Pass, if that helps developers with sells. If I want to play it day one, I will buy it, but there is no reason to not put all the old Call of Dutys on Game Pass. I also agree we need more smaller great games. To many developers these days think a great game means it has to be bigger than the last and that's not the case.
Almost every business or market you mentioned having hard times are ones that have bent the knee to the mob. A lot of people are waking up to this and saying enough is enough and speaking with their dollars.
I'm still on board, i like XB better than PS, i can have both but only have but so much free time. Microsoft isn't stupid. The only thing they did I hate is cross play with PC ... I don't game on console because I can't afford a PC. I don't like cheaters so I don't PC game.
@@Davidcharrodthatâs a pretty biased take. Thereâs millions out there (myself included) who appreciate PC crossplay because we can play with our friends who are only on PC. The problem isnât PC crossplay, itâs the absence of an ability to turn it off or on in a lot of games.

Microsoft head honcho Satya Nadella is running Xbox now and he ainât listening to Phill Spencer or Sarah Bond who were running Xbox.
I would argue that a Phil Spencer did save the Xbox One from being the last Xbox console but he hasnât been able to get the games to the players and expand the brand.
He gambled and lost on Gamepass getting way more subscribers but unfortunately we are in an economic recession going into depression that everyone is trying to ignore at executive level. They thought they could just gouge forever as if gamers were the golden goose!
But there is no golden goose and their customer base has other more vital things to spend their income onâŠlike food and rent.

Its obvious that the xbox heads are being pushed aside by the microsoft heads making these decisions.. and the layoffss/closings weren't really based on performance. It came down to close a studio thats 3-5 yrs into development, or close the studios pitching new idea's .. sucks none the less but they're not wasting millions of dollars

What i can read from Sarah's words at the bloomberg's interview is that the studios/games didn't meet expectations Xbox had for them, so in other words, they didn't make enough money or something like that but thats just my guess. Also Redfall was a flop and Starfield wasn't the best game ever.
Starfield will become a 'great' game 10/10 the second it hits playstation 5 and xbox has no exclusives. Mark my words.

I know I am still gaming regularly I just am NOT playing the new stuff. The industry as a whole is in a bad place for me. BROKEN TRASH releases at ever rising prices. Trying to force all digital while charging a VERY STIFF premium for proprietary storage and NOT OWNING ANY DIGITAL CONTENT! These are just 2 reasons why I just am not feeling it like I used to.
The thing is they wanna do what Sony been doing. Focus on make big first party games lol. It took them literally 10 years and 80 billion dollars to realize what they should have been doing and what a lot fan been telling them to do. Focus on making high quality first party games.

A lot of workarounds for the password sharing so that has not changed. Everybodyâs still doing it.
Phil said it before the digital libraries were built in xbox one and I have a library of 1800 games on xbox and I have a small amount of Playstation games. I will ride the wave of xbox if they keep the backwards compatibility, add steam to their next console and it is handheld they will actually demolish all of the competition

I should stop watching Xbox stuff...but it was my favorite consol for years. Just so bummed in the last year or so.
I do understand what youâre saying about Xbox is not alone with all the layoffs but when I bought my xbox series X when it launched, I was stoked about the idea of studios getting bought by Xbox because Microsoft is such a wealthy company I though it would mean all theses studios would have the liberty to experiment and not be under the burden of having the best game for the widest public. I thought it meant that since Xbox was so wealthy theyâd focus on making it safer for studios to do their thing without AAA crunch and other toxic video game company culture. So when they come out with all the layoffs it feels different than other companies. Sony and Nintendo both said previously they didnât have the funds to fuck up. I just thought it would had been different for Xbox and it does make me consider buying a PlayStation console next gen because I feel like I canât really trust them. At least Sony and Nintendo are constantly putting out bangers after bangers.
If xbox goes away I think in Mexico where it's really popular, people will go for pc instead of console

Also and I can't stress this enough people don't have as much disposable income anymore. Microsoft have always thought that if they canât have it then no one else gets to either and thus destroying gaming developers means you have no option but to buy from whoever is left in the game. THAT is also why Microsoft were trying to buy up everything as well.
Itâs actually a good thing they failed in that attempt to dominate game development because they would bring a desert of consumer choice and call it success!

No, this is not an industry wide issue - PlayStation and Nintendo are experiencing record sales.
Yes, there has been consolidations and layoffs, but the Xbox situation is quite different. Console sales are catastrophic, Gamepass subs have stalled, retailers are removing Xbox from their stores, and confidence in the brand is at an all time low.
It's extremely unlikely Xbox will make another traditional console - maybe they'll try a handheld - or a branded PC. But the days of competing with PS6 & Switch 2 are over. Likewise, it's pretty clear Xbox will now be going full 3rd party. Not just the concessional small game, but the big hitters and iconic Xbox franchises.
