Good video, helped me decide to spend the bucks and order one. They're changing the laws here in Canada every five minutes and knife laws changed this year again. So better I buy one before the next elections. I just ordered it and it's on the way. Going to watch some of your other videos.
I have a kabar kukri in 1085 a little smaller but nice and light but still thick enough to chop a tree down my favorite kukri for the money is the Ontario kukri in 1095 thick tough as nails but still has a good edge for the thickness.
I been sleeping on those BK knives ,but not any more I'm onboard and onboard to stay. I have a BK 21 knife on the way and the long mistakenly put off BK 9 will be soon ,then I'll grow from there.
@@BOOSTEDLASER I really have come to like a chopper that is not so big that it can't also be used for finer knife work. Love the Esee Junglas 2 for this reason. I have some videos on it you might enjoy. Haven't seen the TOPS parang yet.
@@BOOSTEDLASER Never had a problem at all. As far as favorite, For strictly a chopper alone, it and the Esee junglas are my favorites. Bk9 next. For a chopper that will also be used for knife tasks, My favorite is the Esee Junglas 2.
I do love my bk21, however I have always been disappointed with the sheath and the plastic handles, where did you get those micarta ones, I think I would like a set.
@@BOOSTEDLASER I did a lot of chopping for a season before moving on to other blades to test out, and it held up perfectly. Also, The Knife Connection has G10 handles in a variety of colors.
My Nepalese khukuris are hanging on my wall while my BK21 hangs on my belt. Thanks for the great content my friend !
Thank you!
Awesome video brother!! It was a blast hanging out with you, Can't wait to do it again

I haven't even gotten mine yet and already want another one, with the upgraded scales.
Very Nice! You will love the Bk9. Feels great in the hand.
wow good video !
Thanks for putting it up against a good hatchet! I have had the GB for years, love it, but the kukri looks to be a viable alternative.
I really enjoyed using the kukri, but MY Gransfors Bruk still goes everywhere with me, and gets the most use.
Thanks for watching!
Please keep up the great vids. I can’t get enough Becker knives.
The more I use the BK 21 the more i like it. That thing is amazing!

for delimiting a large knife is usually easier because you don't have to be so accurate since your have more blade edge to use
supposed to say delimbing
Have you used them both for splitting kindling? Would love to hear your thoughts on that.
Both do a good job, but id give the edge to the hatchet. The wider axe head will work better on bigger pieces. Less effort as well.
Ochoco Bushcraft thank you
How easy is it to carry on the hip? I plan to get it as a do it all survival knife
I had a leather sheath made with a dangler and that was very comfortable. I would rec
comend doing the same as the stock sheath is not so comfortable.
@@ochocobushcraft1742 Thanks for the quick reply! Who made your leather sheath?

Amazon has the micarta handles. Same ones fit the BK9. You have to die them yourself. I use Rit dye and then linseed oil. Black and Green are best
