Foxwalk Primitive thanks for posting this vid. I have been contemplating getting one of these BK21's , you sold me on it. Your the first person I have seen review this knife & address fighting with the blade & also mention Reinhardt's background in Knife fighting. the blade is high priced & that is why I have held off for so long. Very good review, thanks again.
One area where the 21 shines is quartering large game . 2 moose , 3 elk , deer and wild hogs . It's an excellent large butcher knife for processing game . Thanks for your excellent video Foxwalk Primitive .
Yes - The tang area is softer ... as is the tang on your BK 9 . You can take knives to any decent machine shop and have them tested for Rockwell hardness in various locations on the steel . I have done RC tests for people and charged them nothing . It takes about 10 minutes for a complete test .
Great vid! I got mine recently and love it. By far it's the best one tool option I've ever owned, and the best kukri design I've ever held. Definitely worth the money in my opinion. Thanks!
+jonNH123 that's awesome! I'm glad you got one. I hope this video helped with your decision. Have you tried removing the forward bolt, from the handle, and installing a forward lanyard? It adds a lot of stability to the chop.
I'm getting one!!! (And a 4, and a 5!) This is easily one of the best reviews of any Becker knife, and I'm talking out of the dozens of quality review channels here. I can picture Ethan carving with it, and Hank doing a "blade kata" with that thing, as you're reviewing it. 😀 And yeah, you got it up here on YT before any of those other guys did. 😉 Nice work CM!
@Re nato Wow US Marine here and now NTO, I have a gear chan, I have tested (guessing) 1000 knives. EVERY Bark river was amazing. Never had 1 issue ever, my team of 23 others ALL have a BRK ( or a few) never had any problems. Wonder if U got a fake czcams.com/video/WhNtXdx_9bU/video.html
Man, you just gave a lot of bigger channels permanent butthurt by getting yer hands on this thing! I love it! This blade has been more anticipated than the second coming. Always been a parang fan, but I think I'm gonna hafta give this a whirl.
great review! I am fortunate enough to own the original bkt Reinhardt kukri that was produced in the 90s. still straight and strong as the day it was purchased. I'll be uploading a video of the original in action and if the 21 is half the knife as the original, then Im going to have to pick myself up the 21
+BOOSTEDLASER #1 without a doubt the TM Hunt M18. It's in a few of my vids. #2 would be a nice khukri because of the tight waist for carving. #3 would be a bolo. Bolos are just awesome blades. You get curvature; you get heft; you get it all, really. I'm not the biggest fan of machetes, or parangs/barongs. I'll use them, because I love knives, and love learning them, but those two have never held my interest as much as my top three. Thanks
+Foxwalk Primitive Thanks for this awesome review. It definitely helped make my decision easier. I was initially looking at the Tops Armageddon but just ordered this instead...thanks again and keep up the fantastic work!!
Hans Grübber Yea, my Ontario kukri would outperform the BK21, and I got my Ontario for $70. When you see a $200 tag on something that is actually worth like $60, you know you're paying for the name. It was taking 2+ hits on things that my Ontario kukri could get in 1 swing. For $200 they should've beefed it up.
+Alexander Moffitt I disagree entirely. First, khukris are fighting weapons. The Ontario you're speaking of has horrible balance. The RBK was designed to be a true khukri with martial arts in kind. Balance is superb, and it's adapted to being a woods tool. Try one before dismissing it. Thanks.
And, this is still the best video on CZcams for this blade!

Ever get one?
I still have this fine knife. I am glad I have it. I highly recommend it. It's actually better than I first thought 7 years ago.

Have you chipped or rolled the edge?
@@BOOSTEDLASER No chipping and no rolled edge . The knife resharpens quickly using a DMT diamond hone and a flat butchers steel .

Nice work CM!
Thank you for such an awesome comment!
I definitely gotta get one of these to go along with the rest of my collection. Great video Rick.
Thanks, Devyn! They're simply awesome, but be careful until you're used to the weight.
I just bought one... thanks for the great video...I have a BK9 and like it... I am sure I will love the 21.
+Roberthurz you will
Yep, it just came... It's awesome.
+Roberthurz indeed
@@FoxwalkPrimitive Gun to head :kershaw camp 10 or BK21? or like another 9-14 inch blade "big chopper" better?
Any feedback on the BK21?
Very good video. Excited about this blade, but also appreciate the quality and thoroughness of your content. Subscribed.
An enormous thank you is in order. Sincerely, thank you.
Foxwalk Primitive You're welcome, and thank you for all the work that goes into this!
From my little experience over the last year with this knife, I'd say you hit the nail on the head. Great video buddy!
Thanks, Murph! Always glad to impress. M-18 vid is on the immediate to-do list.
@@FoxwalkPrimitive Did this Chip /roll during all your tests? Wonder if 1095 Crovan is tough enough
@Re nato Nope I hear other bad things.Thanks. Sticking with bark River :)

great review, I have been using the CS Gurka Plus Kukri in O-1 and the designs are very similar. I will be picking BK 21 as my next blade purchase.
Did you get one? And how do they compare?
great informative video. thanks.
Nice vid and very usefull. Tx for sharing.
Say Heah, Yup, the BK-20, and the BK-21 are high on my list. ,, ,
Would love to see this doing some food prep...
+Shelley Raskin food prep could be done, but it's not ideal. This knife would do it if it was the only knife you had. It's quite forward heavy.
Excellent review, man. Thanks.
You're welcome, and thanks for your support. Now go buy one.
Favorite 2-3 "big choppers" these days?
Kukri/Bolo/Machete/Senegal..whatever
2+ LBS,12+ inch blade

Any new favs? Anything Bark River?
Great review. Thanks.
You're welcome. Thanks for the support!
WarrDog77 thanks for the support. If my review helped you make the decision I'm very glad I was able to help.
+Foxwalk Primitive Thanks for this awesome review. It definitely helped make my decision easier. I was initially looking at the Tops Armageddon but just ordered this instead...thanks again and keep up the fantastic work!!
+Phil D. Awesome! I'll do my best.
This week I said "self, get you a kukri." ...Just in time.
Good review! Subscribed ;)
+Joe Gear thank you very much for your support!
I was highly disappointed that you didn't throw it.
Why a kukri? It is often easier to do small knife jobs with a big knife than it is to do big knife jobs with a small knife.
Nice blade
It really is. It should cost 4x what it does. An insane deal.
No don't say that! They will up the price and I'll be to poor to buy!! Lol
This is more of a Sirpate kukri design than the traditional kukri.
If you're making a machete out of 1095.....I'll pass.
Would you rather this or a X7 hatchet or a Husq hatchet?
if u could only have one
Any chips or rolls after test?
Definitely the BK21 over anything else. It's that versatile. And, no chips, or rolls yet. Thanks for watching, and reaching out.
Does Cullen know you stole his song??
Only bought one Kukri in my life. And this was the one I chose after looking at countless others. I don't like the traditional designs.
perfect??? I don't know dude but is nice
It's perfection. Trust me for I will not lead you astray. Lol
+Foxwalk Primitive :) I definitely dig the design my friend.
+Foxwalk Primitive I'm just more a parang guy. I'm still looking for " my kukri" :)
+Joshuah “Wildman” Moran parangs and khukris are night and day comparisons. Happy hunting
No necesitas destrozar la naturaleza. Emplea ramas secas.
Only Soft Wood 🙄
much too expensive for such a blade... too thin spine and not heavy enough. Should'nt cost more than $60...
+Hans Grübber respectfully disagree. Khuks don't need to be thick and heavy to be effective.

When drawing a khukuri, do NOT have your hand under the edge of the blade.
+Thomas Linton thanks for the tip. It was open back, so I think I'm safe with that one.
got one, killed the neighbors chicken that kept coming into my garden.
