- 2585 of these Ford Lightnings were produced in 1993. This one has stood the test of time, and shows and drives like new. It is mechanically in excellent shape. All electronics work as they should. The 351ci Powerplant has plenty of power to get you moving. The Lightnings tall 4.10 axle ratio really helps with acceleration. In 1993 The Ford Lightning was only offered in 2 colors, Black or Red. This is the owners personal truck, we originally had this Lightning listed for sale 2 years ago with 104K miles, he fell in love with it and kept it as a second vehicle. Throughout his ownership he rebuilt the top end (as a precaution), as the water pump was leaking he decided to do all the gaskets up top. It now has 111K and all of the work listed below was done within the past 2500 miles.
Interior:
The Interior is in Excellent condition, all electronics and gauges operate as they should, all the seat bolsters are in great shape and they really hold you in place. All the door cards and arm rests are like new. The Carpet is free of any stains, and the dash has no imperfections. This Lightning still houses the factory radio, and it sounds great. A/C is ice cold and works very well.
Exterior:
Exterior is in great shape! I would rate the paint a 7-10 with minor scuffs and very small imperfections. Bed and Cover are in excellent condition, This car is stored inside and you can tell with how good the gaskets look. The Engine bay looks like new, and all Gaps are even. Overall the exterior is in very very good condition. It has the optional Dealer Tube Bumper and it looks like new, along with a custom side exit exhaust with stainless tips.
Drivetrain:
These Motors are indestructable! The 351 Powerplant has no hesitation and has been meticulously maintained. The Idle is smooth and the Transmission shifts firmly through the gears. It looks like new underneath, There is NO rust on this truck. All accessories operate as they should and there are zero overheating issues. Both Fuel tanks operate correctly. Rear end is nice and tight. Suspension feels like new. Essentially if you want a New 1993 Ford Lightning to drive every day this is the Truck for you. Take a look at the photos and video and make a decision for yourself. Top end overhaul was done at 109K miles, only reason for this was the water pump was leaking, so as a precautionary measure the heads were pulled and sent to get resurfaced, and all new Motorcraft gaskets and associated components were replaced, we have photo documentation of the process in our gallery.

Damn that car looks just like a truck!!!!
My first car was a black 94 lightning. I absolutely loved that truck. One day while I was driving and minding my own business, I was hit by a driver who ran a red light. Totaled the truck, but I walked without a scratch. I parted the truck out and now the drivetrain is in a Country Squire Wagon somewhere in Michigan and the body panels that were still good went to fix another lightning. Hopefully one day I’ll drive one again.

My Dream Truck since I was a kid !
You never pointed it out but I was surprised to see the OEM decals on the truck after a repaint. It took me almost two years to find some nos decals as they are the only ones that have the holographic colors in the lightning bolt. I paid dearly but I was bent on having real decals on our black 95. Good job on the truck it's really fine!

You're crazy you don't have to change a whole top end of an engine because a water pump goes bad
Exactaly I've owned tons of 92-96 Ford's and have changed head gaskets but you don't rebuild the hole top end cuz of the water pump
@@jamesshaw4954 Right,,,probably ran it hot and blew a head gasket or cracked a head. Thats the real reason to rebuild the top end

The water pump sits on the front of the engine block... i have never heard anyone say... “Oh well the water pump is leaking lets redo the whole top end” 🤦🏽♂️ thats like saying “Oh well the toilet keeps running, im gonna put a new roof on my house”

I bought a Raven black 1993 F-150 new and loved it! I put a mass air conversion kit, 1.7 roller rockers and an underdrive pulley set on my beast. But you're wrong about the tires. The correct tires were Firestone FireHawk GTA P275/60R17 I still have the originals. Not sure why I saved them ?
How much did you sell it for? I'm in the market and looking at a few. I've had two lightning trucks (2000, 2004) and loved both.

Almost perfect... they came with Firestone firehawk 500 from factory tires which are discontinued and your missing the blue and white pin stripping, nice truck tho

@@GiDD504 the 04 was my favorite and yes i drove them all my 93 has 76k miles when i bought it it had 12k miles and i keep them clean and change the oil every 2500 miles i sold my 99 and 04 due to hospital bills but im about to buy a 94 1 owner with 8k original miles pretty muxh new

Thats just a common modification, have it on mine with a custom exhaust built by a guy who did custom parts
