- Hey guys, showing here the different options for starlink on a touring vehicle/caravan application. Both of these setups are running on 12v DC rather than 240v AC which reduces the power usage by a ton!

Great set-up. I'd love to be able to share it with my home and just take with me when travelling.
Lovely Info on Starlink thank you
Good Morning 😊 Awesome video 👌🏽 Thanks for sharing 👍🏼 Greetings and cheers Mate from South Africa 🇿🇦
thx mate 😀😀👍 L
Great video, thanks. All the questions I had you've answered. Much appreciated.
Great video Luke! After CSR trip and seeing what you did I am so keen to have added to our 200 as a stand alone for touring as AOR will not always we with us on certain tracks, but want for safety comms!
Nice idea on keeping dish seperate to put away from vehicle looking south. A shame they are increasing to $400 for ability to use on the hop while in motion! $$$$$ 🤬
Cheers mate!
thx mate : ) wonder if i can glue mine back together 😀😀
When did camping become so complicated ?
You now need to take the IT guy, systems analyst, network manager and a few others (who always turn up but never really explain why they're there) on your next outdoors adventure.
A lot of extra work and costs for 30w of savings. Though with the new V3 receiver and router directly using an RJ connector someone may come out with a all in one box to handle the conversion to 12v.
Another awesome vid guys! 🤙🏽 Hey what flat mount did you guys go with on the cruiser please? Cheers!!
from spacetek mildura 👍
@@DriftaCamping4WD cheers for that! How’s the connection when driving these days? 👍🏽
@@GrabLifeByTheGourlayswell i had service from broome beck to newcastle 😀 but no trees over the road . driving around trees it’s not so good
@@DriftaCamping4WD just checked their website and there is no flat mount listed!
Hey Luke - great video mate. Did you get the regular starlink to mount on your roof, or the one that's more expensive and designed for that specifically?
hi mate nah the regular one 😀 L
In your opinion will a starlink equipped tourer replace the need for a standalone GPS, zoleo, and satphone? Or will you still have secondary layers? It seems like now a starlink and an iPhone cover most bases. Have an eperb in the off chance the truck burns to the ground.
yeah i travelled for years without anything : ) no need for a sat phone now they very awkward to use anyway . all depends how many layers of insurance u want : ) L
@@DriftaCamping4WD chain and ball always got me on the hook! Thanks for all the great content 🤙
Where do I buy the star link 12v kit?
Luke can you confirm that the roam plan is now limited to 16km an hr moving, I have asked everlanders on CZcams and he said no restrictions?
I am waiting on the gen 3 release in a week or so. Have you found out anything regarding the speed cut off when mobile?
Cheers. Paul.
What’s the modem?
To expensive for me
