Does this mean I can stream my favourite Tassy trout video anywhere in Aus now?! 😍🐟 "Thats how you catch a trout"
Go for it!
as if you didnt download it.
Stop😂😂😂😂
Oh no … 😂
Yea fello tassie here and I agree with this
Good job Sam. Sounds great for those who may need it. Another thing to be aware of, is that the cable can be easily damaged if not careful, as Sarah & Keelan found out closing a vent or window on the cable cost them $140.
Celfi is more expensive, significantly, pretty sure you need a specific antenna too. You can make calls if you can enable "calls over wifi" on your phone using the Starlink also. Starlink DOES require a unimpeded access to the sky, which might be a pain if you're in the middle of the literal bush or rainforest location, but realistically most won't be.
And star link is 174/pm celfi has no ongoing cost
Yeah I just seen that haha
Considering , Starlink is pretty cheap then 🙈
@@speyles As Starlink is pause able also, it makes it good for content creators, part timer travelers and people who might use it in a higher capacity further down the track.
Starlink has taken Australia remote travelling to another level , most of all CZcams content makers has a starlink in they rig , thanks for sharing and catch you on the next episode 😀
Greetings and cheers 🍻 mate from south africa 🇿🇦 👍
You forgot to mention the 450 for the starlink is a special at the moment. Standard price is around the 900 to 1000 for the hardware and then 170 per month. Starlink - full internet
Cell fi - phone signal booster. (Which you do need a specific 3g/4g antenna for)
I have double check all vid from SAM and I reckon, its new girl friend . its not lock like before. Good job Mate.
How’d you drive with two moon boots 😂
Love the work Sammy even a video like this is still so entertaining 👍💕
I was thinking the same thing!
Jumped off a roof, check his last video
Is it just me or was anyone else hoping the wind would’ve picked up 🤔
Just you, my bro. Mud.
😂 shout out to wind
Classic 😆😆😆
It did.
Who is she ? , not his girlfriend
Had my celfi for several months and it cost me bit over 1k! Biggest pro to me is it runs off 12v, and can be used on the move.
As great at the star link would be it would only be usefull for big lap type trip peoples imo. Excessively expensive, needs inverter or mains, and can't use while travelling.
Another cracking video! Question - Is the pcor tray a-little damaged? Just see the gap between the under-tray box.
One thing to test is weather during winter with cloud cover/rain etc
Tom I live in the north western part of the United States and have Starlink. It works great in the winter here even with the worst snow as it has a built in heater that turns on as soon as snow is detected on the dish.
What is the minimum size inverter do you need to run it?
hey Sam any chance u can do a video on the spark iv got the same one and would like to mod it to go faster 79k is good but i’ve heard people can get close to 110k when modified
You dont need a Redarc invertor to run a cel-fi go. Unless people already have one or have another need for an invertor than that is an additional cost to factor in for a Starlink service which makes it an expensive option.
How many amps does the starlink pull?
Nice unboxing, and really good to mention the prices, compared to say a Sat Phone and the price of calls on that, having internet any where as a fellow content creator, makes a lot of sense. ATM I don't go long enough out remote for this, but when I'm planning Israelite Bay tracks and the Murchison Hopefully next year, this will be a great investment. Is this an old video from before years eve a month and a half ago Sam, or is that $450 deal the current discount for 2023?
What was the name of the video that you checked at 8.20... I have heard that tune before at my mates house in the middle of the night... 😄
Had a starlink out bush about 140km outta town pissing down raining and the starlink was still running 100mbps no problem don’t even get that in town on NBN
Lol, Aussie internet is really bad :/
Cool, I was wondering how it fended in bad weather, rain, etc.
@@evil17It can punch through clouds fine and even light/medium rain. Heavy downpours will likely knock it offline though.
You can set your phone up to do calls over wifi so with the starlink you can still make and receive phone calls
Celfi is 800 plus and u can make calls with star link via wifi calling and its not like a sat phone with the delay
Starlink is a game changer for me. Wireless NBN was shite. Shame the upload is a bit so so but download is killer.
Also with starlink you can use wifi call too.
Celfis are around the $950 mark plus the antenna 🤙🏽
I use Starlink in my home currently and LOVE IT! Absolute game changer for my family. Saw this product as my partner and I will be travelling in our van and thought it has some absolutely amazing qualities about it. My one big question is power consumption ⚡️is it gonna suck the life out of your battery and not last the night or is it super efficient and your able to run your PlayStation and TV too 😂
The Starlink system consumes approximately 40 watts. Which equates to: 40 watts/12volts= 3.3amps. Therefore 3.3 amps will be drawn from your battery per hour excluding any other devices. Your PS5 can consume up to about 300 watts so add that to your calculations.
@@cyclemoto874440w only, I had heard they used around 200w on another vid but that was awhile ago, also that may have taken into account using an inverter, starling & tv combined.
Have heard starlink maybe bringing out a mobile unit for 4x4 and boats and are going to geo fence the current units available in Australia is that true.
You can turn on Wi-Fi calling and txting and that allows you to use your phone as normal via the internet
I've had my starlink for over a year in a offgrid setup, you can run all your phone calls through starlink incoming and outgoing
Most mobile phones Apple and Samsung for sure allow a setting of wifi preferred calling, switch this and thats all you need to do.
Not a well advertised fact "for a reason" I presume
Did you get a new misses mate?
Fuck shes a banger aswell 😂
He does have a type, doesn’t he?
love the video ❤
If you have a phone that is wifi calling capable you can make calls. I use Starlink because I live off grid and a wifi capable phone works great.
The wind understood the assignment around 10:50
Now Sam....what I'd like YOU to do (take on the challenge) modify the unit to use 12V only so it doesn't require an inverter.
Looks good but need to give it to Matty explore life for a full test let's gooo
i have had mine set up like this for a year
Thanks Sam but Cell-Fi units are $800+ lol
This is the best video
LOVE THE CONTENT ❤❤
Calm down, big fella.
Great video Sam I thought you was not meant to be walking on your feet. Or are you been a naughty boy?
08:20 😂😂😂😂
Cel fi is pretty expensive. Best of both worlds would be to have both options ;-)
Aw definitely then!
How much power does it draw Sam? Is having the internet more important than running my fridge full of cold beer?
8:21 sneaky Sam....
Fyi you can still call using WiFi the feature is called WiFi calling on your phone
Check out 11:21 them muddies look like there got cheeky pants on bit hanging out each side haha
starlink is cheaper. . Celfi go kit cost 900-1300.
yooo its faster than our telstra modem
Did anyone notice how skinny the mudflats are on the back of the troll or where your eyes focused on other things 👀 👌
Bro running 2psi 😆
Is that the new misso ???
I'd love to see how good this starlinc works when you get out to places like the finke or say on the strezlekie where your flat out getting sat phone reception as proper remote locations like that don't quite have the amount of satellites flying over as you do on the coast or nearer to larger towns
Celfi and Starlink aren’t even comparable ahha
Hi Sam I’m going to Fraser island on the 2 of march
I thought the cello was over 900 plus u need your own antenna.. but It may have dropped
Why the twin moon boots?
I just did a router delete for one, no more app, no more really poor wifi.
A key feature of camping is disconnection from the internet
Starlink could literally save your life though. Sure there are other GPS options around for emergency services - but a bush rescue from emergency services would be a bit more expensive than a Starlink setup.
If you turn on Wi-Fi calling on your mobile phone, you will have phone usage, it just uses data to make the call.
Something to keep in mind 😉
what size are your shoes bro
is that a threat?
9:55 Sorry, can you repeat the cost of the case. I got a bit distracted...
Good upgrade on the passenger 😂
Bro got a new GF every episode 😂
@@truculenttabasco let the man city boi on 🤣🤣
New misses?
Anyone seen the satellites in the sky? They look like a train of stars, defently a sight to see.
no not all countries have star link yet
10:25 Yeah, it'd be a bit dodgy if you were stuck on the CREB track or up in the FNQ bush somewhere. However, I can see a future where you could backpack into a remote area/beach or whatever and have an entire unit with batteries taking up half a backpack. Well, that's what I'd like to see. I'm thinking as in hiking into Cedar bay if you know the place. Only way in is a 7-14-hour hike, a boat, or helicopter.
Celfi is $1000 😂😂
what happen to codi?
Cel fi definitely isn't cheaper hahahah
Is that the new missus?
You have a new misso
But not in the town of Chillingbourne. 🚫🚫🚫🚫🚫
Celfi costs pretty much exactly $1000 so not sure where u got ur numbers from
Cel fi is closer to $1000
The name rings a bell, however I believe celfi BOOSTS a signal, not grabs it from out of the sky no matter where you are
I have this on my house. It beats Telstra hands down!
Faster than my homewifi :/
lol thumbnail
Is she new misus
New missus?
It’s just to bloody expensive
About 12 months old now... 😂😂😂
In US for a time, ask them
I have had Starlink for a while and it was the best move ever. A lot faster than your speed but I guess you can expect that for New Zealand lol. We get the best. Brilliant videos buddy and a shame on the heels. I guess you will have to go back to doing it on your knees hahahaha.
Oh, new gf?
Thanks mate.
Hearing all the cords are fucking rooted how’d ya go people
And a satellite phone cost ?????
8:21 Kinda sus 🤨😂
theres no way
New misso mate?
How many new mrs's you got mate!
Sorry..no musk 4me..
Good spelling
I know
Now come over to outback WA most cell towers are over east.
At least $1000 cel fi
Listen here cobber, throw that Mickey Mouse shit away and spend your time cooking some damper and crushing tinnies.
Starlink all day
Who's the new camera girl???
How are you double moon booted hahaha
He jumped into a kiddys pool that was on concrete
Haha having a good time 😊
This dude get a new GF every 6 months or something?
one should not just have a mustache without any sort of beard Especially !! while wearing shorts that short
New missus way better than that last one
Should test it with a few people connected and see how it handles it
Moon boot both legs,sorry broer
So, here is the opening statement, stay in your lane. These devices are more complicated than the avaerage joe who still can't figure out the correct use of a CB radio... Paid advertising even worse.
That being said, Starlink is great until it isn't. Huge issues growing with dishes failing in storms, ethernet adapters are cheap shit that fail, cable is cheap crap and proprietry plug connectors that DON'T like dirt or moisture, even more issues now coming with the cable inside the unit failing (moving all the time breaks copper). Starlink for RV / mobile use is very speed capped and low priority data. There are ways to use it mobile but none from Elon, needs to be hacked/moddified.
Cel-Fi units are quickly going to shit thanks to poor firmwares and even worse carriers. Telstra quickly becoming the worst in the country.
Wi-Fi calling smshes the need for Cel-Fi turds.
Anybody else noticing his girlfriend hasn't been around for a while now and had bridget and bree and othe chick's like in this video hanging around alot, I get it if she ain't got time to be in videos but come on Sam's been getting around I reckon 😏
