      Tiffany, yes it is hard at first with no experience, but you just need one break. Make sure you are Level 1 and 2 Xactimate certified, and you get on at least 50 firms rosters. Also, check out my discord, since there are a lot of helpful tips to getting deployed. discord.gg/5zkQ7bwEUm

    Can I start doing this at age 60? Plenty strong and do actual repairs on my own properties

    Is there any area in claims as an adjuster that pays well ? I know being independent makes good money but I have 2 kids under 2 and there's no way I would be able to do 10hrs day 6 days a week am I wrong on this or are the hours different and up to me as an independent adjuster?

    • @danieltheadjuster
      @danieltheadjuster  Před rokem

      Yes, the beginning hours are 10 hours a day 6 days a week as a desk adjuster, and this would also be the same for CAT work.
      If you had tremendous experience in the construction field, it is a possibility that you could skip the desk adjusting portion, and work as a Daily Adjuster in area, but this is rare. Auto adjusting is also an option, if you have lots of Auto mechanic or body shop experience.
      This experience may streamline you to be a field adjuster in your area. Unfortunately this is not the norm. Everyone has to pay their dues, unfortunately, as a desk adjuster.

    Hi Daniel, great video! I'm a roofing and exteriors contractor in Denver, CO. I'm tired of competing with all the roofing salespeople and dealing with the production process. I've been doing it for 14 years. I'm 48 years old and was thinking about applying with Liberty Mutual to become a claim adjuster. I'm healthy, fit, happily single with no kids and no medical needs. Do you recommend working for a company like LM who offers benefits or becoming an independent IA?

    • @check-inready8911
      @check-inready8911 Před rokem

      With your experience you can get on as staff adjuster - get paid for training and always switch to IA latter. Allstate is paying more than they used to -- with base and cat pay you can make 100k in first year after training which is 3 months of short days(like 4 hours a day) and get 5k a month for training.

      @danieltheadjuster  Před rokem

      That’s good money. But I don’t ever want to be a staff adjuster. I like the freedom of independent work.

    I won't say who or where, BUT someone keeps saying that 95% of aspiring adjusters fail, even after doing everything right. If that were actually true, then I'm sure by now the entire population of the United States would have cycled through the industry several times based on the sheer volume of claims that need to be handled. It is important to recognize fear mongering sales tactics when they are displayed, and grains of salt must be swallowed. But what do I know I'm just the guy on the internet.😇

    • @danieltheadjuster
      @danieltheadjuster  Před rokem +1

      That’s a wonderful observation. You are correct that a lot of people play the fear card. Anyone with perseverance and determination will succeed at this business.

      are there any fields in the industry that you don't have to climb roofs? I'm handicap so my balance isn't 100% good? Could I use a drone to do most of the roof inspections? Lastly would flood adjuster be better for my situation?

    • @danieltheadjuster
      @danieltheadjuster  Před rokem

      @@teamor28 yes, I started as an auto adjuster and this was a desk position for State Farm. This would be a great position for you as well. There are lots of opportunities for people who do not want to climb roofs.
