Since I'm up even earlier than normal, I'm making the Sunday Shoot-a-Round live a bit early. Early Rambling!
This is the kind of grandpa people shouldn't mess with
Yeah,,fooled me again,,wasn't checking earlier,,been up all night,,,you got me!!!😂😂😂😊😊😊.. Didn't check for your show till 5 58 am
I was thinking I missed a time change or something!!😂. All good!!!
Figures…lol. I’m up later than usual in California (5:30 am). I’ve walked the dog and had my one cup of coffee though. Nice to catch up again bud
You mentioned about guns you have “had”. I’m just curious as to approximately how many guns you have traded in or sold in your lifetime because I’ve been under the impression that there hasn’t been that many.
After retiring, I missed getting up and going to work for 2 weeks. I got over that and started treating my hobbies like a job. I'm restoring a 1967 Chevelle SS396.
Nice!
I owned a '69 Chevelle SS396 with a Hurst floor shifter. Bought it the day after I got back from Vietnam. 😁
Wow! That is one powerful car!
I had a 200 mile ride in one once from Albany to Potsdam, NY, long ago.
@@cliftonwhittaker260 Bless you.
@@cliftonwhittaker260 I have a 1968 SS396 Chevelle convertible in the garage that I bought in 1977. I just always wanted a fastback 67.
Hickok bringing a little normalcy to our crazy world on Sunday morning.
Nothing better than a cup of coffee and a Sunday shoot-a-round!
Thanks for mentioning the bill about blocking roadways. You expressed my sentiments EXACTLY!!
Yeah, where the heck are the snowplows when you need them! :-)
I'm always grateful for another Sunday, life is too short, bless Hickock and the USA.🎉🎉🎉🎉
I dont comment on channels much but i just wanted to say ive been watching your videos for years now, just wanted to say thank you for the information and entertainment
Good morning Hickok45 and gang.
Single actions are just so fun to shoot.
Cheers
If you have trouble remembering what guns you have. You have just the right amount.
Hope everyone has a wonderfully blessed and safe Sunday. Beautiful pistol too.
Hi Hickok45! A few weeks ago my mother passed away very suddenly. My father and I have really enjoyed your videos and have brought us some light through these very trying times, thank you for your videos and knowledge!
So sorry for the loss
As someone who retired less than 3 weeks ago, I highly recommend it! Lots of house projects, woodworking in the shop, and hickokk45 .... it doesn't get any better than that!!
Your comment reminded me of my dad, shortly after he retired, he's been gone now many years, I asked him what he was going to do today, he replied, "the same thing i did yesterday, whatever I want to do."
"It fires at close range..." You kill me 😂
Yes, Ms. Blackburn is a gem. She can kick some butt and doesn't pull punches. A real scrapper.
Fully agree. And she's smart, too and can think on her feet.
Good thing she is a true Republican.
💯agree
Fun fact: According to Roy Harrell, it is not yet Soda Pop season in Oregon. Tennesseans can be thankful it is Soda Pop season year-round.
Home of Bob Hoover. “The best stick and rudder pilot ever” General Jimmy Doolittle.
Ticks have hooks on their “hands”. So they hang out on grass or leaves and stick their hooks out. As you brush by them their hooks grab your fabric of clothing or hair. That’s how it happens. Ticks don’t jump or fly
Great to hear no major issues with old man pistols! Yes retirement is somewhat good, newbee being retired, it is something to get adjusted with, definitely a life change. Thanks and take care!
Next best thing to gun powder therapy is enjoying the Sunday Shoot Around😊
Nice. I have a SASS matching set of Ruger New Vaqueros chambered in 357/38spl. I removed the index plunger so I can free rotate the cylinder back and forward. montado hammers too. the low ones
I had two Ruger Vaqueros that I used when I shot SASS, Cowboy Action here in Pa. they were consecutive serial numbered, just happened to be at the gun shop when they were delivered. NOT ordered that way, just lucky. when the owner noticed that, he mentioned it to me, and I bought them on the spot and used them for a few years. He(gun shop owner) did do a "trigger job" on them, taking the pull to only two lbs., and some other "tricks" LOL Fantastic times.................loved the commoradory of the shoots, Everyone was so friendly and helpful.
👍 Thanks so much to make us dreaming about your true country of freedom ! Here in France, Europe, hard to own and enjoy weapons like you do...
You are 100 % right ! life is good !! 👍😊 anyway... 😉
Unconverted old model Rugers are becoming a valuable commodity lately! Great guns.
Way over 7 million subs, on the way to 10 million.
Marsha is right on the issue! We agree with her 100%. Treat blocking and trapping people on bridges and roads and threatening their well being like the crime it is!!!
Good day to all, peace and be well.
Great work Mr Hickok, we ALL sure appreciate you & your focus of Revolvers! I attended a FireArm 🔫 Event in SE-WI this wknd, AND THE MOST POPULAR ITEM TO SHOW, BUY OR OBTAIN WAS the ol’ trusty Wheel 🛞 Revolver! GOD BLESS AMERICA 🇺🇸 & Y’ALL👍🤩
Mr Hickok Sir that Bisley Ruger is gong Worthy! It's a keeper.
Awesome Sunday shoot around nice gun thanks for sharing Hickok45
Good talking to you young man

Sunday Shoot Arounds are wonderful, thanks for your time and effort making these videos
Sunday fun day!
A client of my wife's who's into guns sent home with her the other day for us to shoot, a 115 year old Colt Bisley in 32-20 with ammo. Beautiful gun, blew me away.
Hello boss Hickock 45. I'm always watching ur videos 😃👍
Your counseling brings order in my mind and your videos are just wonderful. God bless you all.
Nice revolver, I know a gun shop that has one of them, but they said it from the 1970's .. thinking of buying it!
Little Johnny fell asleep in Sunday school...
The teacher asked, "Johnny, who is our Lord and savior?"
The boy behind him poked him in the back with a pin.
Johnny shot upright and shouted, "Jesus Christ!"
"Correct," said the teacher.
Johnny then fell back asleep.
The teacher called on him again, "Johnny, who was Jesus's mother?"
Again, the boy behind Johnny poked him.
Johnny woke up again and exclaimed, "Mary, mother of God!"
"Correct," said the teacher once more.
Johnny fell back asleep.
The teacher called on him one last time, "Johnny, can you tell me what Eve said to Adam after she gave birth to their 23rd child?"
The boy behind him poked him once more.
Johnny shot up and shouted, "YOU STICK THAT THING IN ME ONCE MORE AND I'LL SNAP IT IN HALF!"
What's the difference in a baby and a ham sandwich? I don't screw a ham sandwich before I eat it!! 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Cheers just found your channel as im interested in getting into the hobby, thanks for the chill sunday shoot and informative videos!
Appreciate the retirement comments!!!!! It is great being able to get to the range whenever I want!!!

Sun’s shining Hickok45 is at the range life’s good love from London England.
Happy Sunday morning.... I am about to retire in 2weeks....can only hope its half as good as yours...I also like the ruger
Good morning H45, great looking single action. Be greatly blessed.
Great video. Thanks for sharing
That's a beautiful firearm! I have a Ruger Security 6 in .357.... Whew!! What a fine gun!
Nice revolver, I know a local gun shop that has one identical to yours, they say there's is from the 70's.. thinking about buying it!
God bless you Sir, thanks for being here 👍
I had a thought about the bulk of the older Ruger handguns. Indeed they were large. Perhaps it is because in the past Ruger handgun frame were investment cast and not forged. My limited knowledge of metallurgy suggests that the bulk was required for strength. To safely operate the investment cast frame would need more mass to contend with the pressures generated by the large cartridges. Please correct me if I am wrong. I enjoy your show.
That is a beautiful revolver. That one in 357 mag is still on my wishlist.
Like you, my first handgun was a Ruger Blackhawk .45 Colt, 7 1/2" bbl. It was 1978 or so. Not long after I found an RCBS press in the classified ads. I put a LOT of rounds through that gun.
In the category of unbought stuffed dogs, 10 or so years ago I walked away from a decent deal--it would now be a great deal--on a S&W 25-6 .45 Colt Mountain Gun because the guy behind the counter was a jerk. Moral of the story--don't let jerks make your decisions for you.
Good ol boy right here. A dying breed.
Morining shoot on sunday love to see older pistols, keep rattling Hickock 45😎
People are working to older and older ages not because they want to but because of financial issues. They are getting crushed by inflation especially healthcare costs and now food and everything else. I saw some much older guys working pushing shopping carts at food stores. I never saw that 20 or 30 years ago.
That’s me. Divorcé didn’t help, but I work in national parks. Still cutting it close. But do to injuries I can’t do my profession anymore. But I go out to a forest or blm, set up my steel and shoot all day long. Then I can say, Life is Great! Why settle for good?
Doctors should NOT be charging even more now. Don't they make more than enough already?
I like the white grips on your new Ruger.
run any general-use pesticide yard granule at least 50 meters around where you conduct your activities, and do it in March and September. you won't have any more tick problems there. also, thanks for holding the pistol still and to the camera at the start of the video so we can see it better.
Good morning from the Adirondack mountains of New York...
I was never a fan of the Bisley grip, my fingers are kinda long and from what I’ve read early on they were meant as you stated an easier reach for the thumb to hammer cocking. Recently I’ve read that their designed for large caliber revolvers to reduce felt recoil. I don’t own a Bisley revolver so not sure if this is true but thought I’d throw that out there. Good video.
Hickok, I’m creeping up on my 50’s and didn’t take my life seriously until my 40’s now I have a clear vision. Stay healthy save money and invest wisely. I hope I will be able to leave this blue belly state I live in and get back to where the hospitality is the best! Great show keep up the great work.
Great vantage point on retirement !
The older 686s with the hammer nose had a recall on the hammer nose shroud ,, primers on hotter reloads would back into the small gap between the hammer nose and the shroud and lock up the cylinder,, so s&w replaces the shroud for free,, look into it 👍
Good morning Hickok and friends .it's another awesome sunny day here in fla. This show makes me want to go target shooting and It is the best way to spend a lil time with friends and most of all giving the wife more practice on the trigger. She does real good on the 380 semi auto pistol her c.w. pistol. Now to get her used to 300 black out and 20 gauge shot gun. Her. Go to weapons for home defence... I'm more a 10.mm and 12 gauge pump 6 rounds with 00 buck and slug 3and 3 with a 00buck in the chamber giving me 7 rounds total. I can't think of how or for what reason one would need more.. keep your powder dry your cup full ..keep on shooting stay safe n God bless.frank from Plymouth fla. 29:16
Not a 'nut', but an aficionado! Thanks for making life good for so many, sir! Beautiful wheel guns. Hard to go wrong with a Ruger or a S&W. Classics! Hope it ends up in the safe! Ignore the haters and baiters. Not worth the time of day. Have a great week everyone!
What A Great Time To Wake Up.
I Just got into reloading and the Hornady reloaded manual said to use Winchester Primers for most reloading except for the Marlin 444 to use Remington primers
Hickok, Columbian and another Sunday shoot around ❗️What a great way to start a day……
Mornin,Sir.
I'm glad to see that you are warming up to the Ruger Single actions.
Which I think are better than the Colts per price point.
Well, maybe not the gen 2 Colts but we're not really comparing apples to apples, are we?
Last I checked though, Colt never offered a SAA in stainless.
Me Liles stainless.
I do like the original vaqueros better than the newer ones.
Carry on with the great entertainment for many years to come we hope.
Looks like fun.
I really don't care about the "bait and switch" @hickok45...New firearm(s) presentation=I'm watching! 😊
Love the videos Sir fabulous channel keep up the great work ,my grandmother was born in Lynne County Essex MA I have American blood all way from Northern Ireland 🇬🇧 I'm a target shooter not near as accurate as you hickock45 keep up the great work shoot CZ urban grey 9mm and a hammerli tackle R1 .22 at my range
I retired in July and am enjoying my time and like that I don’t have to set an alarm every day to wake up if I don’t have specific plans in the morning
It must be a little nicer and warmer weather in Clarksville Tennessee today than in Northern Kentucky where I live. It’s about 50 degrees outside and definitely isn’t a day to shoot guns in Northern Kentucky. To cold.
SundayfundayGunday with Hickok
This should be called the Sunday Gong Show Shoot Around
Beautiful gun. I wish I could find one.
Thanks!
It doesn't matter what Gun you Shoot as long as you Shoot a Gun 👍
Hickok is just like Clint Eastwood....only I have never heard him use the word punk! :D
3:59 this gun is beautiful, don't you think he must have been prominent in the old west
After reading all the comments below, it is obvious that shooting enthusiasts are happy, decent people, enjoy life and are well mannered.
You don't see this on those "other" sites.
Blackburn is a gem among the murky swamp that is DC.
Saw some lightning in the background. 💥. if it twas me And I was you I would buy it!
Life is good !
Good Sunday Morning to ya sir.
I have a Vaquero in .44 mag.I got in 2000 great shooter.
This past year my son found one same color case frame and 4 5/8" barrel. He put it on his CCW?
Happy Sunday
Good morning ❤ 🇺🇸
Well, you're pretty spoiled having all the best Colt 6's you have, but I really like that Ruger! Good price. Classic 45lc. Perfect trail gun. I agree about the normal Ruger grips. These look good though, with that finish. Looks' like a shooter too!
Yes, I enjoy the authenticity of my Colts, but the Vaquero is a very nice single action. In my early days of SASS matches, I had a pair of Bisley Vaqueros and then a pair of standard Vaqueros. I liked them pretty well, but not as much as the New Vaquero models. The New Vaquero is much more like a Colt Clone in appearance and size, even though the internals are very different.
I only have a GP-100 and a Vaquero from Ruger. Got both in the mid 1990's. Vaquero is the second year of production of the original pattern. 7.5 inch barrel in .44 magnum but I only shoot .44 special in it at almost 60. GP-100 is 6 inch barrel with the full under lug. Put a Houge monopod grip on it so I can shoot standard pressure .357 magnum in it.
Those early Vaqueros should handle .44 Magnum pretty well. They were tanks. I'm not sure they even make the "New Vaquero" in .44 Magnum, maybe so. I know it's not a beefy as the early ones, but provided the steel is the proper steel, the cylinder should be as strong as a S&W N-Frame.
@@hickok45 It does handle .44 magnum it is my hands that cannot handle that round any more. My dad left a 1960 3 screw .44 magnum with me and the same thing will apply to that.
Life is good 😊
My comment is Hyekcock 45 is a true Tenn America , keep it up
It's kinda like comfort food 😊
Gotta put this man in a walking dead show.. with a life is good scene
"Welp!"...I just discovered my next purchase.👀💓
1st pistol I bought myself was a Ruger; best thing I ever done.⭐👊🏻🇺🇸
One of my favorite guns I have one
