I have the same chipper, very useful info. Got my blades out and found out that there are no adjustment bars in the holes, looks like I'm making some of those. Wish I could find a place to sharpen the old blades, when I bought my chipper it came with 3 sets of blades but they were all dull. I don't really feel like buying more blades but I can't seem to find a chipper blade sharpening place around the Portland/Vancouver area. Thanks for the video though. :)
Thanks for the video I'm putting the same chipper back together and someone has welded the feed plate in place! So I have to take it all apart and rebuild the spring plate and find springs and everything
Do you have any more information on adjusting the blades on this chipper that will be useful please contact me back if you see this as soon as possible have the almost exact chipper with the same drum blade set up
Thanks for the video! Just picked up on of these old gems and knife replacement is on my list. Nice to see what I’m getting into first
Appreciate this video. I could not find any sort of manual anywhere.
What a godsend, thank you.
Super video. Great Info. Thanks for making it.

Glad it helped! I googled machine shops who do tool sharpening and found a place an hour away but I'm glad they're there!
@@josephbiron4156 Thanks, I would have never thought about machine shops. I would gladly drive an hour to get these sharpened. lol :)

That stinks! The table needs to be adjustable for it to work properly. Best of luck with your project.
@@josephbiron4156 thanks it's going to be a workout to cut all the welds
Looks like the blade might be in backwards. On my chipper, the bevel side faces out.

Do you know what type of oil this motor runs?
Hi Mark, mine has an old ford 390 cid v8, I just run high mileage 10w 40 and it seems to always run great.
