You definitely know how to feed it properly.
I bet it sips fuel compared to a V8 gas whisper chipper

Thanks. Been doing this a long time. V8 were deemed way too powerful for a chuck-n-duck.

I am still tempted to buy one, but everyone tells me to avoid them. Gotta beat 18hp toy I have now.

@@matthewtaylor2185 In the proper application they are great chippers, there are Brush Chippers not Wood Chippers.

@@matthewtaylor2185 These chippers will easily out chip smaller hydraulic chipper that cost twice as much. Personally I love to use them. I can put a 16" drum up against any smaller 12" chipper like a Bandit 200 and out chip it. That's provided the brush is relatively straight like Fir branches or Eucalyptus and under 6" diameter. But if the brush is broad, like Oak, and bigger than the 200 would have the advantage. However the hydraulic chippers are considerably safer.

@@CalTreeEquip other than various rope dangers, and standing to the side to avoid projectile chunks, I guess I don't see why they're that much more dangerous than hydraulic machines. I have an old DR 18hp toy chipper with a feed chute about half the length of my arm and low enough to fall into. That's dangerous! And it will whip your arms.
Chip quality is important to me because I want the chips for gardens and orchards. I have been told that I should avoid chuck & ducks for poor chip quality, I don't know. The power company dumps here and their big vermeer always leaves a lot of long sticks...I don't know that that can be avoided in the real world.
Finding a decent chuck&duck chipper without broken bolts and stripped threads and parts availability looks like an issue for me.

Such different behavior between a disc and drum chipper.
