    Hey can you tell me the name of the shaft that the lifters are connected to is called? I’m replacing the injector 2 and my Machanic seems to think that should be replaced? He called it a camshaft.

    When checking the injector voltage while running is it gonna be 12 volts to the injector? I know on my motor there are 6 power wires and 2 grounds on the injector harness in the valve cover. I have 5+6 not firing, new harness and clips. What should I look for for those two misfires as far as voltage to them or is this an ECU issue everything was fine before I replace ICP IPR and high pressure oil pump and injector seals at number five

      I bought a brand new harness from accurate diesle and it was junk out of the package. that is actually what I was repairing in the video. New harness means nothing! My issues were all over the map and intermittent because the wires in the connectors at the injector floated around so much that they would break contact intermittently or all of a sudden its dead injector completely. I believe that its a full time voltage on one lead with a ground pulse on the other. im not sure of the voltage reading.

    Could still be cylinder 6 since the dt466 starts at 1 from the transmission side counting up to the front of the engine

    Hellow! How did you said that you can check if your injector is firing?
    I have 1999 DT 466E and my rpm needle is dancing. I replaced all 6 injectors but that didn't fix the problem, I ordered the harness and tomorrow will be installing it. The engine misfire and not enough power for the transmission to shift.

      If the valve cover is off, with the engine running, you should see a strong pulsing of oil coming out of each injector. If you don't see it on one particular injector, try pushing on the connector and also push and wiggle the wires going into the connector. If you start getting a pulse of oil, your connector is bad. If the injector still doesnt fire it could also be that the o rings on the injector are bad and its bypassing oil to your fuel tank. look in your tank with a flashlight and if the diesle looks black you will need to re seal the injector. also I had a bad connection on my harness at the connector that goes through the valve cover as well
