I got my kit the other day and there is NO information on what to use as a starting point for the height. A member on the Fiesta ST forum suggested 2.5" of exposed threads while on the car. I went with 2" of exposed threads which made for a 1.5" drop. Doesn't look like much but what a difference it makes compared to the stock setup. More secure cornering with less body lean, I am very happy so far!!!
Thanks dude!! But I have a question, how does the adjustment of the spring tension affects the ride rollovers? I'm using a high-low fully threaded coilovers, my ride rolls terribly like I'm using standard factory springs and absorbers, what is the perfect spring height to make sure the rebound is slower and make the ride stiff ?
I just purchased a coil over from you guys I’m exited about it and my question is on the pre load you said just tight the spring and that’s it or I need to pre load any 4 to 5 mm pre load ?
@@racelandsuspension so we can adjust them to less then 5mm? When I did mine on my 06 Forester xt I watched the original video that said to set to 5mm. Way too stuff for me. I'll be adjusting them this weekend if we can do less. Thanks!
After installing these, I keep on hearing a thudding sound every now and then is there something else that should be tightened or should I call to replace the 2 driver side coilovers?
So whats the difference between partially and fully threaded when adjusting spring seat? Does preload on fully threaded affect ride height like it does on the partially threaded?
With a partially threaded kit, the preload is what determines the ride height, where a fully threaded kit isn't. The ride largely won't be significantly different as we tune the spring and damping rates per model and drop range.
I'm confused by this. The Coilovers I purchased from you guys are like the ones to the guys right and look nothing like those. Mine have 2 separate springs on front struts. Taller spring on top with a lower mount then a smaller spring below that with 2 adjustment nuts on the bottom of those springs. There were no instructions in the box just a sticker and key chain. I've either thrown away invoice or misplaced it and need to know if I am adjusting them right or wrong. Thanks
It depends on which kit you have. For most, there is a peep hole on the side of the lower mount. As long as there is thread showing in the peep hole, you're safe.

Thanks! I was wondering how I would raise or lower after they were in.
It depends on the vehicle. Give us a call and we can talk you through that. Our number to call is 801.365.1440.
On the Infiniti g35 set of primo I have it comes with 3, is that correct ? I would love an installation video on them

Do you need adjustment of wheel and camber when adjusting the height of coilover?
Yes. As you lower the car, the camber will become more negative and vice versa.

Yeah, 5mm would be the max preload that you'd want to set them to.
@@racelandsuspension thanks David I’ll send pictures of the install and final results 👌🏻🫵🏻🙏🏻

The pre-load really won't affect the ride.
which of these kits/setups would apply to the 2013-2019 BRZ coilovers?
Our BRZ kit is a fully threaded kit.

Just wanna make sure I heard that right. If you compress the spring by taking the collar up you are raising the ride height?
For a partially threaded kit, yes.

On the fully threaded ones, how do I know when I’ve reached max height? Is there a stopper or will the whole thing just fall out of the bottom mount?
It depends on which kit you have. For most, there is a peep hole on the side of the lower mount. As long as there is thread showing in the peep hole, you're safe.
It’s the same for the rear coils on an Acura RSX ?
Yes. To raise the car, turn the collars up the shock etc.
Can you buy the wrenches from you guys? I bought a Subaru with these, but the owner only had one wrench
For sure. Give us a call to order. Our number to call is 801.365.1440.
So when your raising it to its max, it it okay if the lip above the actual collar is raised over the mount. This is really hard to explain lol sorry.
No worries. Which vehicle do you have?
Which of these set ups would apply for a 2014 Scion tC?
Our tC coilovers are partially threaded coilovers.
How about the preload on the rear coils ?
For which vehicle?
How to adjust the classic for 99-04 mustang
Our Mustang coilovers are known as "partially threaded" coilovers, so the process will be the same.
Why don’t y’all sell the top mounts for the 06 maxima kits
We are expanding our upper mount line-up. We'll keep you posted if we decide to do the kit.
i have a set of coils for the subaru forester 03-08, is there any way to make the springs more stiff at all? particularly the rear?
Unfortunately, there isn't a way to stiffen up the springs.
