Now I cannot unhear the leprechaun say seat seat seat mirror mirror and I won’t sleep at night. 😂
hahaha, well then you can imagine the leprechaun say "sleep, sleep, sleep, sleep, sleep" :D
Michi a pitstop menu and setting tutorial would be awesome for those of us new to rfactor 2. 1000 thanks.
Hey there, thank you. I will take this into consideration. Would you mind telling me exactly what you are looking after?
thanks for the tips dude ,very useful 👍
Thank you Fred! Appreciate you like them.
indeed! WASD hahah. so obvious! I would have bashed my head in frustration for an hour trying to figure that out.
Hi, that has helped this new user to the game a lot.
Hey Clive! Thank you for your feedback. Much appreciated
Tysm im racing in ees this season and i needed to know how to fix it ty
You are welcome! Thats why this is here :)
These tutorials have been great. Do you plan to do one on using pit menus and pitting? Cheers Michi.
Not really until now to be honest. If it is a desired thing, then I will get one going
more sims should implement rfactor 2 mirror system... awesome guide, ty!
DisaPwned thank you very much for the feedback! Appreciated
Hello mate can you help me with Rfactor2…idk why I can’t set up FOV exactly “pitch” angle..you can give me some advice? When i push button for changing vertical FOV i see that numbers going down or up but “screen” still not moving and staying on the same place..
It depends on the view you are currently on. The FoV setting only changes the view for cockpit or nose cameras as far as I know. TV camera and Swingman are independant of the FoV. Maybe that gives you a decisive hint.
I haven't figured out to to enable cockpit rear view mirrors active in rf2. Ive looked everywhere but ive got nothing.
Its not in the ingame settings, its in steam/steamapps/common/rFactor2/UserData/player (either here or in UserData itself) you should find a player.json. Open it with texteditor and check for rearview mirror or "rearview" and then you should find the line.
In the .plr, the rearview width what does affect? I've done some tests each in Rfactor and GTR2, but I haven't seen any change
It moves with you moving your seat. So you need to set it fixed, so you always get a standard / basic rear view in the mirror. REgardless of your seat position.
HI NICE VIDEOS!! can you help me with outside camera , when i chose the outside camera the car is moving a lot in left and right when cornering , can i make the car stay fixed in a static point ?
I havent found a way to do that yet to be honest. not sure if it is even possible. Sadly I never dug that deep into the files to check as i havent had the demand for it.
thanks for answer 😊
You aer welcome!
How do you change the view in the wing mirrors on RF2? Thanks
you press CTRL+Shift + Seat Moving buttons :) give it a try.
I have some problems with the Oreca 07. When I adjust the seat, the virtual mirror on the right moves with me and becomes useless, even if with the shift shortcut I reach the maximum possible angle. Can anybody help me?
You should check this guide entirely then :) - Set the rearview setting correctly in the player.json file as explained :)
Is there a way to reset FOV to default? I've made a few changes but I don't remember default values
Default value is around 60 I think or 50. I dont know, IIRC between lowest and highest setting it jumps to default. But I am unsure what that is.
Hi michi, what seating position do you use for lmp2? how much forward are you?
I think it says somewhere between +210/+240 to the front so (220/30ish)
@@MichiHoyer thank you!
@@stanvlietstra2774 you are welcome :)
Hello
Is any way I can lower my cockpit camera like in iracing with horizontal line? I m lowerring all way the seat down and still my camera is to high.
Thanks
There might be an option to tilt the camera with either CTRL+SHFT or ALT or something. Would need to look it up closer, but I think thats how its done if anything.
Might even not work after all.
@@MichiHoyer ok i will check that.
I m wondering if I buy a wheel extender I can lower my monitors.
But for now I will check what you said.
Thanks.
i don't even have a virtual mirror. everything is a struggle with this game.. how can you enable the virtual mirror?
usually the key "3" above the W and the E is the one where you toggle the mirrors. You can set these buttons up in the Controller Settings. They are explained in the video that you also commented on yesterday.
Hey Michi. I'm looking for an answer about this for years and still never find anything. I'm looking for a solution to edit the Pit menu option when you race. So, to be able to change or not the tyre at a pit stop with ONE button, tell to not refuel the car at all with one button instead of scrolling through the 120 liter manually. That's can really screw up a race. I've tried with Crewchief, however the command mapped on a button seems to not work in game. Thanks a lot
Hey there. Sadly I can tell you with full confidence that there is no such option.
the only thing you can do is set the fuel in the strategy menu on the setup. That will give you the "range" of how much to refuel.
But it cannot be set automatically or with a simple button press. You need to dial this in by hand sadly.
That's very unfortunate, but I was expecting this answer yes. Thanks a lot for taking the time to answer me :) @@MichiHoyer
Hi....Can you repost the rFactor2 FOV calculator-Please....
The won in your last video about FOV the link did not work....
Cheers....
JohnG....
Hey John :) Thanks for your reply. Here you go: dinex86.github.io/FOV-Calculator/
@@MichiHoyer Thanks....
hello, is it possible to move the virtual mirror on the bottom of the monitor like in iracing?
no mate, sadly its not
@@MichiHoyer ok thanks
@@MichiHoyer Is it possible to move the pit stop hub?, thanks 😊
@@oscar_sme hey mate. Sadly this is also not possible. Nothing in the HUD can be changed with standard tools.
You can do a bit in the dev mode but I have no experiences with that
Thank you very much, the mirrors went sideways depending on the cars. Cheer
Ah so changing that line in the JSON about the mirrors helped you :)? - Much appreciating the feedback.
I'm trying to setup real mirrors on Formula Hybrid cars playing in VR. I cannot see anything behind me. please help me !!!!
have you tried adjusting the rearview mirror setting as described in the video?
@@MichiHoyer I've tried but it did not work. I can move the mirrors up/down or left/right but I cannot see the cars. I play in VR by the way.
@@emabia72 i am afraid that VR might be part of that issue.
How is it when you put the seat in 0/0 position?
there is any way to modify that ?
To modify what ?
it was about the 3d person camera . when turn left right the car rotate but i would like to camera and the car to have the same posinion all the time like in cockpit cam
was the same question like the forst one i just wanted to write more messages to can see me 😅 you answered allready , thankyou
yes, you need to put head movement to 0%, turn off stable horizon and disable look ahead i think its called.
Yeah, are assignable keys to set seat and mirror position, also the FOV setting is assignable.
Let's talk seriously: how do I set the position of rearview while I make a car? Does exists a free 3d renderer to see on the polygonal where cams are placed? Not the .plr, please
hey. Long answer short: No there is no such option to see
@@MichiHoyer God dammit, I'm talking of .plr. If you don't even know what .plr is, let me talk with other "rfactorers"
Since I never went to deep into building a rf2 car I may not know, sorry for that.
Seems I have misread the first message where you were about programming the parameters of mirror movement instead of adjusting it ingame, my bad.
Yes, talking .plr or not .plr, the issue is customizing the rearview for each car. I'm sure the main issue is not setting on the "selfinrearview" in the .plr, but making cars with a rearview set to match the mirrors position. Maybe sacrificing the hollow rearview. But, come on, we're on Rfactor, there's the upgrade file and the fanbase is made of simracing nerds.
That's it, it's all a thread of placing cameras. Which should be done through a renderer
Yeah, I am sure now that this exceeds my rf2 experience by far :D - have you checked the user guide pages on the S397 rF2 webpage? Do they maybe indicate something that helps you?
its gone now doesnt work
What do you mean its gone now?
@@MichiHoyer I found it lol
