When I was in seventh grade, I made a Kobold Barbarian that was really just a joke character. In these months at home, I found the character sheet and I just realized that he had one of the best backstories I had ever made. Here it is:
Kingops was born to a kobold mother and father that he never knew. A human woman was walking by a cave when she saw a little kobold baby. The woman named him Kingops,which roughly translated as “Bone King” in their language. They took him in, but later Kingops drove the family into bankruptcy. The woman was drinking hard to relieve the pain and she eventually snapped. They beat the kobold repeatedly as a sick way of justice for making the family go hungry. This, along with the woman near starving Kingops as well, made Kingops’s childhood a living hell.
Eventually, Kingops found a broken battle ax in a dumpster. They stuck it together and repaired it, and used it to kill his abusive mother. The village, which had always distrusted him to begin with, sent him to the jail into a maximum-security ward. He escaped only with a pebble and chili con carne shiv, and ran away from the village, only to have them capture him again, stone him, tie him to a post, whip and flog him for 2 days with no food, and throw him in a ditch. Luckily, or unluckily as the case may be, his mother inflicted such high amounts of suffering on him that he was able to just barely survive.
Scared and alone, traveling for many years as a wanderer and distrusting everyone, he finally came across the shabby village of Merefell. It was small and in bad repair, but the people welcomed him heartily, and he rose through the ranks in a local church, quickly becoming an acolyte of Tyr.
However, all was not well. A beholder eye tyrant took notice of the rapidly growing village, and reduced the houses to rubble. All the residents of merefell except kingops were either killed or enslaved by the beholder.
Kingops was depressed for a while, angry at the world, at humans, at beholders. He managed to channel his anger into training himself to be a highly talented barbarian, cool at most times, but always suppressing his feelings of sadness, angriness and loneliness. Eventually, he became a hired thug in order to get money for venting his anger.

I want to make Sir Prise a real character...
The origin of his name: for some reason his mom who couldnt carry a child was given a child for winning a contest and wasnt allowed to decline and so she gave the child the last name prise so when he grew up he would be called sir prise. It's a pun based around the fact that he was a surprise forced adoption.
Funnily enough, Sir Prise is also usually late to events and can throw the best surprise birthday parties around...

4: At 3:30 is the insinuation that the love potion minion was subsequently murdered?
5: In general how much do some of the physical skits hurt? Like the nat one skit in this comp where it looked like you smacked your face into everything you own.

Omg yes I have been waiting for these. I'm so happy today cuz I began the next campaign of some Canon characters we have in my friend group. Mine is a fallen aasimar fighter (my first ever character) and I goddamn love them. Cant wait to see my waifu npc again!! :)

OMG, I played a cleric/monk before....it was a granny :3 probably One of the best characters I ever made
Especially in higher levels it was a gestalt campaign so you dual class leveled It really makes players op but the DM also made the enemies gestalt to make it fair battles....high level cleric monk gets monk amd cleric healing....I felt like a god lol and my character was very lovable so I trained her to make potions inside of deserts like cookies and muffins....had healing ones for the party and poison for the enemies (we did follow all D&D rules outside of gestalt so I did take proper feats and whatnot to do this :3)
I watched the Cthulu one at least 20 times not kidding. This is stellar!
This rogue stuff is what I decided to model my rogue the opposite of. His parents are still alive as far as he know,he just distanced himself from them. He doesn't make friends with anyone on the party,but knows how important teambuilding is,and will easily lend or give money for weapons/armor
It took me a couple of seconds to understand the bard/druid multiclassing bit... my (ace/aro) bard is basically a druid at heart and I'm pretty sure the idea of "THAT" would give her a heart attack.
A bard who's also a druid....

The Bard that was also a Druid is kinda believable for me because I read a Book on real life Druidery and Bards often have roles to play in Druidic Rituals, so a Bard-Druid actually makes sense.

Funnily enough, I actually am planning to multiclass my monk into cleric very soon. She was inspired by Jade from Beyond Good and Evil so cleric multiclass was always in the books (if you know the plot of the game, you know why), and then in-game she ended up in a deal with the Traveler, so she a reasonable in-character reason to. Trickery domain seems like a good mix with monk nonsense :) (and no, I hadn't watched campaign 2 Critical Role at the time of creating the character. she's not Jester :P)
