My money is on the misfire causing the boom. Conditions inside the combustion chamber get supper sensitive under boost, and what an na engine may survive can easily kill a boosted motor, especially when on kill mode. It's unfortunate the k20 blew but it's all part of the game. Hopefully there's a decent amount of salvageable parts to recon and re use!
Might want to check those injectors before throwing them in the new engine, mayb one stuck open or sumthing. Either way cheap insurance to make sure nothing hurts the new motor.

Lots of things can cause an engine to make a big Kaboom. Don't point fingers subs. Ive seen many high dollar engines grenade and many budget builds as well. Best thing to do is investigate what made them kaboom and learn from it. Looking forward to seeing the "built" motor to go in 👍👍

Hey brother I was sent this way over an issue I’m having with my prelude maybe you could help me out maybe not. I’m having an issue with my map sensor not reading I’ve had my Ecu checked by 2 shops I’ve tried 3 different map sensors. And it’s getting the proper voltage at the map sensor plug I’m lost on what the issue is at this point.
How much did your new built engine cost you? I never had a engine built so I'm just kinda wondering what it costs

True, things happen. But as a tuner, you should be involved, engine was obviously misfiring badly on pulls. Still pulls were being made. Maybe advise to check what's happening or stop the session?
As soon as the misfire started the Dyno session had too stop…. But it’s part of the game, some junkyard motors are 500hp and some have great inside views from the outside 😂

@@-look-at-this-84 J is finally getting aftermarket support, but a lot of the support for it going RWD Swaps in the BRZ, S2000, 240sx etc. K has unlimited options and support.
