Japanese, German, and Latin Spanish, these dubs capture Peach’s sweet girly feminine side, which the others REALLY lack, they don’t feel like Peach because of this… Anya for the dub we got here in the west is terrible and just as bad as Chris’ Mario…

Peach in French doesn't sound like a princess, she sounds like a Queen, the authority/strength she has in her voice is impeccable

Im french and if im not mistaken, she's also Tracers voice actor. Or not but she definitely voices a character in Overwartch
@@ptitecame6688 Higher pitched voices in France are usually seen as really annoying, so most cute characters are given a deeper voice
French is definitely the all around best I’ve heard so far, especially the scene with the little yellow toad. I laugh every time I hear the French VA say adorable. If Pratt’s performance doesn’t continue to get better I’ll have to consider looking for one of the versions that just replaces Pratt with the VA from France

Only the Mario voice yes. And that sucks since its the MC. But Eng Bowser is killing it and the best Bowser and the rest (ENG) so far is def above average. French Mario is just peak, japanese peach is on another level. The german voices def get a lot of bronze and silver medals in that regard esp. since they try to catch the characters feeling ( Like Mario ) without sounding like tryhards by using passion in their craft.

I don't know if French Mario is the best but that "Wahoo !" is definitely perfect.
Luigi’s French voice is also Shadow The Hedgehog since Sonic X based on the Japanese version and he still voices Shadow since the games are dubbed in French with the Sonic X French cast. Also Benoît Dupac is Charlie Day’s official French voice. Hiding behind the Shadow just like Luigi but now he’s on lights, camera and action!

For all you detail-lovers here, at 4:33 when Mario gets face-hugged by a Cheep Cheep, the French voice-actor sounds like he pinched his face cheeks, vice-like, while saying ENLEVEZ MOI ÇA ! (TAKE IT OFF ME!) , so as to better render the effect and pressure of a Cheep Cheep mouth on Mario's delivery.
It's honestly impressive how half-assed chris pratt's performance is compared to real voice actors

And after I saw the movie in theaters sadly this scene from the trailer didn’t made the cut. And Mario’s European French voice did an outstanding job which I got the chance to meet Pierre Tessier in 2021.

Gotta love peach here 6:20, she channeled her inner edelgard on the italian dub, there's so much authority and presence in her voice, you can actually feel the urgency in what she is saying. The french, german and japanese also sound amazing.

Though I honestly think that German, Dutch or Latin Spanish fits Peach (Though I think Dutch is my favorite of the three) only because they fit more of Peach's sweet personality. I just really think they need to make Peach's voice way higher, but they might have it lower since she's actually more of a fighter in the movie than in the games.
I think peach in Japan voice is the most stereotypical anime girl ever since you have large collection of anime toys figure and others indie games merchandise fan made or official

In the trailer in Latin Spanish, before the "Wahoo!" the voice actor who plays mario, made a scream imitating almost perfectly the same celebratory shout of Mario from Mario Kart 64.
I seriously recommend hearing that scream, those of you who played hours of Mario Kart 64.... I think it will bring a couple of tears to your eyes.

The "noise" that Peach Said at the Brazilian portuguese was actually "nós" . In portuguese that means "we". I dont judge you, because every region of our country have a different pronunciation, It looks like she said "nóis", only because of the region that the actor lives.

I like Chris Pratt's Mario, he sounds different from the games and sounds more like they are differentiating the games from other media, like in the cartoons, the live action movie and show and that Mario PSA. Pratt is doing a fine job! :)

Why are we sleeping on the Brazilian dub? Mario by far takes the cake with that one. He sounds like the real mario every second of dialogue whereas the French only sometimes sounds legit

something i really like about the french version of the throneroom scene : Peach's voice resonnates (or reverbs, idk what the proper word is) making it really sound as though she is raising her voice in a large room
it doesn't distort the voice, she isn't shouting : she is commanding ... and with the awesome music right on cue, it just adds a whole layer of epic to the scene
i don't hear that effect in the other tongues (though perhaps it's just i'm not trained to hear them) so i wonder if only the french VAs thought to put it in ... if so damn good job !

What I find funny is that not only the French version is (imo) the overall best, but it releases sooner than at least the English version. (The first trailer showed them, and I compared them some time ago)

I'm pretty bias since one of my favourite Japanese actors voices Mario, buuuuuut, I also love French Mario! And a few others as well! They all did so well! (Accept for Chris Pratt)

And the japanese one is killer. I'm gonna watch this movie at least twice, in french and in japanse for the touch of anime !
I feel like the issue is that since this is an American made movie they are going for "star power" so are trying to cast their voice rolls to Hollywood stars limiting the selection of voice options for each characters. So when these other countries have a better sounding Mario it's more than likely because they didn't have to focus on having some famous person do it they actually did a casting call from a large pool of actors and picked the best fit for the role.

In my opinion:
Luigi is best in German
Peach is best in Japanese
Mario is best in French
Bowser is flawless in pretty much all of the languages, but I'm leaning towards English because Jack Black is just amazing
Now I just need an edited version of the film where each character speaks a different language so I can get the best of all these 😆
