Yeah, It's nice to see....*cough* I mean, HEAR the iconic lines of the hero in red in his voice from the games.
Well I mean if you look at the recent posters they just released for the movie it shows that the brothers are in Brooklyn which implies they're doing Mario's OG origin story where he's a plumber from Brooklyn and then they find themselves into the Mushroom Kingdom.

When i first heard 4:23 i knew that chris pratt is improving on his mario voice as the movie goes on, also i mostly see nintendo is giving mario's voice more human-like while staying to the true character which is neat

This movie might give Sonic a run for his money, the characters, the settings, the moments, it’s all coming together!
Kinda made me wish sonic took the same approach instead of doing a live action with real people. They'd have a lot more freedom to do so many references like in this movie.

I have to say, this trailer exceeded all of my expectations. Hearing Anya-Taylor Joy as Peach was my number 1 hope, and I got my wish! But I certainly didn't expect to see Yoshi and freakin' Mario Kart!
I need to see a Super Mario Galaxy reference in this movie. Peach did say that there’s a universe with a lot of galaxies that count on them.

Good to see that the rivalry will be going past consoles now. This could give the Sonic movies a huge run for their money...especially with Illumination's track record of projects over the years.
If Paramount and SEGA can make a live-action Sonic movie must-watch material, Nintendo and Illumination can do the same with Mario...especially if we get characters like Wart, the Wario Bros...even Rosalina in future films.
