    Is there a way to see the multiview on computer instead of on external monitor? Maybe connecting the usb-c and adding it as webcam with OBS or VLC? Or something like that? Thank you

    • @davidjoshuaford
      @davidjoshuaford  Před 4 měsíci

      The ATEM Mini can't send its Mulitview out via USB-C, so the best way would be to connect the HDMI Out to a UVC converter (HDMI-in, USBC out), and then the Multiview will show up as a video source in your computer apps. A common device is the CamLink4K, but there are cheaper ones out there on Amazon as well.

    Hi, please can you advise if this macro would work on the atem mini extreme iso ?

    • @davidjoshuaford
      @davidjoshuaford  Před 3 lety +1

      Yes - everything that works on the Pro will work on the Extreme (though the Extreme has additional functionality that the Pro does not have, of course :) I have new profiles that have been built specifically for the Extreme: davidjoshuaford.com/companion/

    like many of the comments here ... please give us some hint on the how. The demo is amazing but we need to know how you did it. I know how to use Companion to control the ATEM Mini. I don't know how to use Companion to control VLC.

      Hi mate, you can download my configuration file from my website mailing list and copy the button code you want - davidjoshuaford.com/production/companion/ Also working on a video tutorial of how to set it up which I will release on this channel when ready. Also, there are pre-built VLC buttons under Companion's Preset tab.

    This is what I'm looking for. Thnx for the video. When I start a video it just opens on my mac and not in the atem multiview. Do you know what I have to change?

    • @RobertZwart1
      @RobertZwart1 Před 3 lety

      I have my streamdeck with Companion and H2R on camera 4 input on the Atem. So input 4 has to switch to VLC and afterwards return to H2R.

    • @davidjoshuaford
      @davidjoshuaford  Před 3 lety +2

      @@RobertZwart1 Hi Robert, I'm working on an update that will automatically switch H2R and VLC on HDMI 4. Regarding your first question, within VLC you have to select which monitor to target, and also to play in full screen. That way when VLC is cued in Companion, VLC will default to pushing the video fullscreen on HDMI 4.

    Hey David. Thanks for your Video. I am planning a livestream and I am looking for this exact feature. But there is an issue with it. As soon as I installed the vlc plugin via companion, started vlc and allowed it to be controlled via https webinterface (as I have read that this is necessary) companion crashes instantly. Could you tell me your setup for this? Thanks in advance!

    • @davidjoshuaford
      @davidjoshuaford  Před 3 lety

      Did you add the same password to Companion's VLC instance? Companion > Instances > VLC > Edit > HTTP Password. This needs to be the same. If it keeps crashing, quit VLC and make the password changes in Companion first.
