I come from Turriff and I was down in Dunfermline for three nights celebrating my 86th birthday and on the way back back home we went in past your shop and restaurant for tea and a lovely scone we were both quite impressed with everything I’ve been following you on Utube for quite awhile and now I realise where you’re farm is keep up the videos very interesting
Happy birthday!
Nice to see gate lady.....doing some gates.....she didn't like the idea of more coos😂
Great video Crawford. Enjoyed watching 👍🏼
Thank you crawford
Best of luck to you finding a propper farmhand and some better calving season, that was a rough start for sure.
Noticed you didn't let gate lady drive the forklift when you put up the camera😂
You were robbed in the rugby. Sad about the two calves!! The gate lady is brutal!!!
Never a nice feeling to loose live stock we only run a 12 acre smallholding and raise Manx 4 horn sheep.
So I feel your pain.
Love your channel since I found it late last year.
👍👍
Good video it’s about time we see gate lady lol
Great video Crawford not a good start to calving 🤞crossed everything goes great with the rest of the cows gate lady has the measure of you 😂 oh hard luck in the rugby the ball was grounded 👌
Clearly a try. I think it was a poor decision and I'm english! 😅
Very useful and easy to use camera. Hope carving improves.
And calving as well.
Your doing a great job there crawford i have had problems with calving same thing if its a good bag and a young cow get a calf on to her
The Gate Lady has got you sussed Crawford "call yourself a farmer ?" So funny
It was definitely a try. Chin up bad start is always a good finish
start of calving or lambing is usually when the worst problems happen, sometimes a cow pushes out an early calve for a reason especially twins or even triplets,i only ever had 2 sets of live triplet calves but a few all dead
Need to buy the Gatelady some glovies for her handies, looked like she wasnt happy handling the silage wrap!
That was a clear grounding over the line. Robbed!! Them frogs are struggling this year. Condolences to the loss, never good to lose new borns. Were they still borns or die not long after?
So sorry for you loosing those twin calves not a good start hopefully things will improve soon
We find betamox or tylan good for swollen hoofs, its usually foul in the foot
Nice vid
Should give the camera more to gate lady 😉
Shame about the result 🤦
That’s Trevor Fraser. My neighbour.
Horrible way to start calving. Hopefully better from now on in the awesome new shed. Like the new camera.
Does the cow's body temperature change much when it's in labour? Thermal camera? Automatic detection?
Interesting idea… possibly
Gate lady needs some waterproof gloves 😂😂
thats very sad..
I’m surprised you don’t have Duals for fertilising
Not great, but it happens.
It'll be all good when you have a shed full of calves running up and down the courts.
Good luck for the rest of them though 👍
As you know Crawford if you have livestock you have dead stock bad time to calve 4 weeks prior to date sad loss hope the rest goes better
Sad news about the 2 calves out of interest what happens with them now ie any testing or checking and how do you dispose of them
Sad about the calfs. Gate lady out again needing some work gloves. Cracking one again
Ooooooooohhhhhhh, I'm looking for tractor experience. But I'm trying to renovate our house so that we can sell it. I'm also in the US. That would be one heck of a drive. But but but but. I'd love to work in Scotland.
Good size for prem twins, not that it helps.
Helping something lamb/ calf and it's alive is the best feeling ,the Same job and they don't make it, is the worst
Looked like a case of foul in the foot , I would say you need to scrape passages more frequently to over come that
Sorry about the twins. Hope no more premature ones. Are u getting them tested?
You need a boom and 360 camera
I pray for you god will help you
It would be worth sending one of the twins off to the lab to find out what caused them to abort. It looks a bit like leptospirosis to me. Tough start to calving, I'm with you in spirit. Keep going with the great videos.
Fair chance the cows foot is the start of digital dermatitis, definitely would benefit the cows feet in general to scrape the passages more often.
There not fully cooked yet the calves. We had some cows pd’d today heifer with a big mummified calf in her so she’s to be killed. It’s never an older cow😔 I feel for you guys.
Awful shame about the twins ive just started lambing our first wee batch of sheep had a couple of disasters too it doesn't help when you dont know what caused it frustrating ☹️
You need to get that lass some gloves doing that
East coast viner animal Nutrition.
Sounds like to me you’ve just been told off buy gate lady 😂😂 and Scotland was robbed on Saturday
Bugger about the twins. A biff in the guts from another cow after cleaning out?
What app are you using on your phone for the camera?
Possibly & Camhipro
Unfortunately as the old saying goes if you have livestock you have deadstock.
😢
Where were the cameras from?
Farm stream
For all the money ya spent and no hood trimming crush ? Also very disappointed that the 6 nations now won’t come down to us and yourselves in Dublin !!
It still will
@@CrawfordsFarm1 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
@@eoinramsbottom8790when are the 3 mummy 🐑🐑🐑 coming back to Glougburn
Listen to Gate lady she's a women they are never wrong
It,s a shitter mucker with the calves with life stock you know you get dead stock. Just one of them. But a bad start.Good to see the back of gatelady doing a wee bit 🤣🤣
Do my eyes deceive me , did I spot an engagement ring on gate lady finger 😮
Wrong decision by the TMO in the rugby and thats from an Ireland/ Ulster fan
It is mother nature's way of saying something was wrong. There is never a perfect year no matter how hard we try. Experience speaking, start calving in a month.
Sad day for you, twins are bloody nuisance
4 sets from 5 cows so far…. Unreal
@@CrawfordsFarm1 It’s dammed hard work, cows can suffer as well with recovery time, not in farming anymore after 50 years miss it everyday.
ggo goo dolls :P
First
I know whT i mean but i cannet say it.
That dont look good
