Severus going from being angry at Harry to immediately shielding him from danger really shows how much he cares to protect Lilie's son.
And his face, this mix of surprise and sheer terror and fear on his face

I mean what? He’s a grown ass adult. Protecting children from a werewolf is the bare minimum 😂😂😂
@davidfairweather3301 He does despite the fact Serious Black still insults him.
I don't think he protected them in the novel tho. He was knocked unconscious, and arrived late only to take credit from future Harry's patronus.
I find it interesting how in this scene Snape tries to save them from Lupin, but in the book he's unconscious for this whole scene
The fact is that the movies tended to make Snape nicer than he actually was ! I apologize if there are some grammatical mistakes, I‘m a tad exhausted ! 😊
@@alexandrerambaud9796 true i love movie snape he is epic
In book he was a jerk
But also a hero
@@conserztasfia0078 I would say that calling him a hero would be a overstatement. He acts outta pure selfishness and dept
Yeah
@Shadow Studios not all hero's are nice and kind....
Sirius: ”RUN, RUN!!!”
Ron: ”Yes?”
Sirius: ”I DIDN’T SAY RON, I SAID RUN!”
is this a reference from ghost wars?
lol Imagine if the reason why they weren't running is because they thought sirius was calling ron
lol this comment
“Did you say Abe Lincoln?”
3:16 - one of the moments that inadvertently referenced the final book according to J.K Rowling, if Harry only had one soul surely they'd only attack once with each pass, this indicates there's both Harry's soul and the piece of Voldemort's, which is why both attack ⚡
Wow holy shiet!

Here’s a little detail I noticed. When Harry Runs after Sirius & Lupin, Hermione runs for Harry but snape stops hermione because doesn’t want her hurt.
But he said “come back here Potter”
I think he didn't want any of them to run after Sirius and Lupin but Harry was too quick

👍👍👍🤣🤣🤣
I think the dementors looked better in the Prisoner of Azkaban than the others in Order of the phoenix & deathly hallows
I think I has to do with the dementor’s clothing, because in the next movies looks way thinners
Honestly so true why couldn’t they just stick to the plan 😂 old ones are far more terrifying, others just look like ancient zombies with bad cgi
I disagree. They aren't necessarily better. But I feel that they needed to be different to make the film appear darker. Since the Order of the Phoenix has an M rating. And the films usually got darker as the series progressed.
@@c.syde65
But the Dementors were way darker in the 3rd movie than in 5th & 7th. Their design in the 3rd movie was a lot more spooky and really transfered the vibes of darkness and despair while in the 5th & 7th they had this weird alien/zombie style.
YES!
You know when you hear the ice start crackling and freezing the lake and the music starts to get really dark and scary, dementors are coming! John Williams knows how to terrify the audience just with the music alone!
To bad this is the last Harry Potter movie he conducted. I sometimes wish he did the music for the rest of the movies. 💙
Obviously, Williams also did the music for icons such as *_Indiana Jones_* and *_Star Wars_* with *_Jaws_* and *_Home Alone_* as well.
2:43 looks like a painting, I love this shot so much
2:57 That's Elijah Wood's scream 😱
👻😆
I love how suddenly non of them knows any spell to help Sirius
Like what?
@@Black.Sabbath Expeliarmus... Petrificus
Werewolves are immune to most spells it will probably just bounce off of them
@@kokuto4065 I'm not complaining or anything but it is a little glaring that they aren't even trying. How can they be sure?
@@Onigirli They have a class about werewolves. In the books it is mentioned they are immune to spells.
What I honestly love about this part is the time travel effect so many things happened that day that Harry and others didn't understand or know and then when he goes back in time with Hermoine he realizes that it was him and Hermoine all that time from few hours later doing the same thing that they did we never saw this concept ever again 🥰❤
Thank god we never see that again, they wouldn't do as good as It was
Because it would be a deus ex machina in a lot of bad ways for the rest of the movies.
J.K. Rowling uses stuff like this sparingly. That's how smart she is, like George Lucas.
The movie prisoners of Azkaban was a masterpiece
So this is what Prison Mike had to go through
The office reference
3:45 I love this whole scene, but it always annoys me that the Hermione from the future doesn't appear by the tree.
In the book she's not there
SPOILER ALERT: Me too, I was checking if Hermione could be seen behind the tree. In the movie, the way she stands there when she uses the Time Turner with Harry, we should see her. We can see a cape behind the Patronus, so it's Harry.
It was shown through Harry's perspective.. he was too dizzy to notice a girl standing by the tree all he saw was a man standing there because of the light showering on him
@@timetraveller939 Exactly. That's also why he thought he saw his dad across the lake.
Not according to the book, still I love that scene where Snape shields the kids behind him in spite of hating them.
Snape protecting the Golden Trio
Bruh
This entire scene makes me so emotional every time I watch it.
Same!
Same, thats my favorite part❤❤
This shows the tremendous potential of harry . But he was never power hungry.
He knew to use his power wisely and to never let it go to his head.
3:45 onwards makes me so emotional every time I watch it, especially knowing it's Harry back there.
The patronus in this scene is like a guardian angel appearing at a near-death experience
4:44 - The movie could have ended right here. I don't know, it's just such a perfect shot.
They were everywhere!!!
the worst thing about prison were the dementors! they sucked out your soul and it hurt!
They were everywhere because Sirius was the prisoner and Harry was a horcrux
This is the best we've seen the patronus charm
2:16 Me waking up sunday thinking its monday
Harry's scream is legendary
He'd need a 5 pound Hershey bar after that one!
Despite having harry he still protects him and throughout the franchise cares about him and looks out for him
3:23 when the heads too good
Thank you, I love it! And of course I love it from the other side of the lake, how the Patron really came, too!!!
I love how Harry DOESN’T pull his wand out when the Werewolf is it about to attack him but DOES pull it out on the dementors. 🤦🏼♂️
Because it’s professor lupin
Ok so you mean he should pull out his wand on his professor but not someone who's about to suck his soul out of his body
You're a weirdo
Harry is only in his 3rd year: he doesn’t know much offensive magic.
This scene TRAUMATIZED me.
same i made lot of nightmare because of that...
I love when the corporeal patronus was cast the Dementors scattered, screaming and hissing. I've always wondered why do Dementors fear the patronus charm or rather why does it drive them away?
It's something like the Yin and Yang
[The Patronus is] a kind of Anti-Dementor - a guardian which acts as a shield between you and the Dementor. It’s a kind of positive force, a projection of the very things that the Dementor feeds upon - hope, happiness, the desire to survive - but it cannot feel despair, as real humans can, so the Dementors can’t hurt it.
- R.J.Lupin, HP PoA
Magic
The Patronus is a manifestation of happy thoughts, used to drive away the negative thoughts a Dementor brings
@@LegendaryFartMasterThat’s why it uses a specifically happy thought to cast the spell, and the Latin translation of “Expecto Patronum” is “I await a guardian,” which is pretty cool because some or most of the other spells are just weird things to say.
3:50 *Return to your master, Creatures Of Shadow*
Harry: the patronus was a doe or stag same as my parents curious don't you think
Dumbledore: actually if i think about it it doesn't seem curious at all
I'm surprised nobody sued the Ministry of Magic for the horrible containment of Dementors.
I mean, they were employed to find and capture Sirius, and that's exactly what they did
That wound Black suffered… it looks Sirius.
Damn, this movie - especially these scenes - scared the shit out of me in my childhood. And even now this looks pretty scary :^/
How this got the PG rating in the U.S. is crazy to think about. I think this is the hardest PG rated movie I'd seen in my years since *_Attack of the Clones_* where you see Anakin's mom tied up with deep cuts on her face and seeing Jango Fett's helmeted head getting decapitated.
Is it just me or have you only just noticed that so many of these videos are exactly 4:56 long?
weird
Yes
I've heard the algorithm is way more likely to remove copyrighted content if the video is 5 mins or longer
Best. Scene. Ever.
Great job
In the books and in the movies, the dementors are thoroughly creepy.
dementors sound awfully similar to demon
The movies just put Snape in a way more good light than they ought to. The point is to make him morally grey. Which is balanced in the books. He was unconscious in this scene ffs
He is gray
This does not unbalance him? He threw three kids behind him after seeing a werewolf
Snape might be cruel towards the students but he is still a human and a teacher
@@1mo-j426 Thats the point... Book snape wouldn't have been so protective of them, he was a far darker character than the movies portray him to be
@@griffinq8003 I don’t know… I feel like book snape still would’ve been protective. I mean that’s the least he can do in this situation, it’s not like he’s going to let harry and the others get killed.
I swear the thumbnail did him so dirty😭😭💀💀💀😭😭
Me and my dad have walked on that beach it was filmed at Virginia walter in fambrough where my dad's parents lived it was an amazing experience walking on a Harry potter set in 2004
I wonder how many kids got haunted by nightmares for months after watching the dementors attack Harry and Sirius
Remus/Werewolf's sideview howling used to scare me as a kid before I overcame it... and what disturbed me back then in Dementors attack scene the most is that Harry gets his face sucked by two Dementors at the same time. That takes four Dementors while three of them manages to suck Sirius' soul out of him (possibly because of his physically and mentally weakened status). But loved the Stag Patronus rescue moment.
3:18 If you look properly, you can see Daniel's hand being pulled by a string and you can clearly see the string lol
thats his wand
So basically the dementors turn Sirius into an NPC hehe
0:09 this reminds me off the sound "BITCH IM A MOTHER"
2:17 his only contribution to the danger. Thanks Sirius 😑
LOL THE WHEEZING
Harry getting that dementor kiss 💋
Little did he know he saved himself :)
The fav part lots of twist
So Harry's Patronus was strong on this one because he finally met someone who is close to his parents and is willing to take him in
Ironic Sirius black cousins helped prove he was innocent to bad he died 😇
i love how when lupin turned, everyone forgot they have wands, even snape like at least do a lumos to blind him or something cmon.
Werewolves are immune to basically all magic
@@ryanhahn3651 did thwy say that on the movie? Or at least in another one? Then why wouldnt snape teach them something to defend against the only anti magic monster in the entire harry potter dimension? Have someone even come up with a way to defend against them?
@@ryanhahn3651 No lol, Bellatrix fucks Greyback up.
True like just cast wingaridum leviosa like how they beat the troll in first movie 😭😭😭
@@scottjefferson4048it’s explained in the books. When they’re taught about werewolves, they are immune to most magic, especially that the ability of third year students possess.
Me scared what is gonna happen to Sirius it's just he was a prisoner in Azkaban. It gave me the shivers and creeps. The deme tors are a bit creepy!!!!!!!!!
Crazy to think Snape sent that Patronus, I wonder if he knew he was saving Sirius as well.
He didn't.... Have you not watched the movie? It's Harry's own Patronus using the Time Turner thing. He basically went back in time to save himself and Sirius. Snapes Patronus is a doe, like Harry's mom. Harry's is the buck.
@@pangolothian Thank you, it's been a minute. I confused the two.
It’s a stag (Harry’s patronus)
Snape patrinus is a doe
@Kadeem Henry No, youa re confusing it with the doe in the forest in deathly hollows
It was Gandalf.
I would have loved it if Harry’s patronus from across the lake was actually snaps that would have be and incredible reveal in the final film
That’s exactly what I was thinking, I just watched the final film and came back to this clip thinking ‘what if it was actually snape?!” But then remembered that they actually show you harry casting it hahaha
And to think, these are the protectors of the castle.
Never read the books and in this scene I knew there was time travel. I heard the wolf call and said "ummm that's Emma watson!!"
I love Cindy starfall so very much
This one of.favrite scenes in whope intire whole intire Harry Potter series 😝
Sirius Black could’ve talked to the werewolf which was Remus lupine but except a werewolf is a danger to people but not animals so he had to protect them he was sacrificing himself to do it and he’s still innocent because Peter Pettigrew still find him
What an acting
That thumbnail though😬😬😅😅
Hermonie describes the difference between animagus and warewolf. She says only a wharewolf responds to its own kind and when she saves Harry later, she calls and the wharewolf chases her. That means she is a wharewolf.
You high?
So this is the altered Timeline cause of the time travel….meaning their was (not there is, but was) an original timeline where they hadn’t been traveled back and Lupin kills Sirius and Harry…the end 😂
And I really like the fact that a werewolf can’t distinguish a „call of their own kind“ from Hermines OhHhHhHh 😅
No, Harry Potter time travel logic is there are no alternate timeline. There is one timeline that just always was. There was always going to be future time Turner interference so events played themselves out accordingly.
No, there are alternate timelines. But this isn’t one of them.
Prongs made it to the party, just late as usual.
Not watching the video or anything.
Just dropping by to say that the thumbnail is genius.
the worst of the prison, that's what Prison Mike said.
That thing was not real souls, it was in the CGI Vertical Computer animations was floating around harry Potter and Sirius black.
It was snape standing behind the deer casting the spell this whole time. He wasnt unconscious.
Lmao are you being dumb on purpose
According to *_Deathly Hallows_* Parts 1 and 2, his Patronus is a doe like Lily Potter, as opposed to Harry's, which is a stag, like his dad.
2:20 Sirius goes from freaking out at the sight of the dementors to immediately back to being unconscious 😂
The worst thing about prison for sure
Please give me this movie link......
Muito bom esse filme um show
The two boyfriends having a knock down drag out. lol
If your bank account is alive :
Prison Mike warned me about these guys
3:45 this may be Snape patronus.
snape's patronus was fucking nuclear
Wouldn’t you have loved a part in the chapter to hear Dumbledore telling Snape the truth about Sirius? Snape would have been adamant but it would have taken a very simple “Begging your pardon *professor* Snape but I believe you’re quite mistaken. Allow me to explain.” To make him instantly quiet and listen. He gave him that job and spared his life. Small words like that being emphasized are what Dumbledore is elegant at. And we learn that once Snape knows the truth his hatred for Sirius continues yet it doesn’t matter due to his loyalty to Dumbledore. They still have to work together in the Order.
I thought it was interesting that snipe cares enough to throw himself between the wolf creature and children.
Damn Dementor
Fun fact: as revealed in the book, in that intense scene with the Dementors attacking Harry and Sirius, it was all part of Dumbledore's grand plan. Dumbledore, the ultimate puppet master, strategically placed those Dementors from afar to test Harry's resilience. But here's the twist - Dumbledore was also the secret savior. He cast the powerful Patronus that swooped in to save Harry and Sirius, ensuring that his master plan played out flawlessly. It's Dumbledore's world; we're just living in it.

Man how shit the world would be without the UK creating this masterpiece.
I don't understand, they learned about werewolf before. Snape, Hermione they should know how to defeat it
Harry saves Harry.
Which part??
You can actually see a silhouette of Snape's clothes behind the Deer when his expecto patronum goes off.
Harry was the one casting it. It was a stag not a doe.
They have the same patronus lily and snape
I thought the Dementors would absorb your flesh, like Imhotep from the Mummy movies?
Guys get this. Snape is like coconut hard from outside but pure and white from inside, extremely caring
All he wanted was to save Harry's or. Lillys life anyhow without fearing his own death... Also it's just because of what happened in his early childhood when Tragedies which just Happened one after the other he turned himself bitter and he was taken in the bad way by others so he just hided his good will Nd turned as what others thought of him bad, but indeed he was kind
No he wasn't lol. He was GOOD in the end, but never kind.
Very pure in did when he was literally a nazi wizard that was perfectly fine with killing and torturing people and telling his lord to kill babies Lmao😂 he was only on the good side because his lord killed Lily.
