Sirius Black's story is, I think one of the more tragic stories of the Harry Potter series. 😭
Since he lived to age 36 and he was in Azkaban for 12 years, that means he was in Azkaban for a third of his life for a crime he didn't commit.

Saddest part is that he died before he could gain his freedom, and before Harry could gain a proper family (until starting one of his own)

@@withjust-a-bite1396 Whilst I agree, I think the way they each died shows that not every person in a war goes out in blazes of glory. Shows the gritty and harsh reality that sometimes it comes unexpected and quickly. But yeah, Moody should’ve gone out in a cooler way

Always a great character, really supported Harry and also treated Ron and Hermione just like Harry,he is also one of the people who always wanted to keep those three together

I'm always wondering if Sirius referred to Harry's dad there or if he called Harry by his second name...or maybe both
@@MattiK2609 Harry always reminded Sirius of James.. The bond Sirius had with Harry was just as good as the one he had with James. I feel during the fight, Sirius saw Harry and was probably reminded of the time when he and James used to help the order of phoenix and fight against Voldemort and as he sees Harry and remembers that, while fighting, he unintentionally and unknowingly refers to Harry as James.
I cried while watching this, he was always my favourite character.

Sirius Black is an amazing character, but what makes him more lovable in my opinion is how Gary Oldman tackled this role and perfected it. He made Sirius the godfather we wish we'd all have.

I love him in the book, he and Lupin make a fascinating and lovable pair - BUT I do not think this actor does him as written. Sirius is black - dark hair, eyes, shadows on his face, his voice deep and his manner stormy, reckless, peremptory. This guy is refined, light, wants to please. All wrong.
