How to Configure and Use Google Chrome Remote Desktop

Google Chrome has a feature that will allow you to remotely control another one of your computers via your web browser after you install an extension and some software. Once you configure the host and guest computer, you can simply click on the computer name in Chrome, enter your PIN and you will then be remotely controlling your other computer.

Once everything is installed and working, Will it work inside a LAN that has no connection to the internet? Like during wide area power grid failure.

I can't say for sure but I wouldn't think so since you have no way of connecting to Google to have both computers logged in.

I had Chrome desktop on my desktop PC set up to access my laptop. After the last windows feature update the shortcut vanisheed. I have set it up and its working but it doesnt filol the screen (as indeed yours doesnt in the video) whereas before the shortxcut went AWOL it did fill the screen. How do I get it back to how it was?

go to around 5:10 in the video - see the arrow at the middle of the right edge of the screen? hit that to see settings. Full Screen is at the top.

if the remote computer is showing 2 displays / 2 desktops, how do I zoom in on one at a time?

What if the computer you want to access requires a password to login. are you able to enter password via remote access?

I'm not sure about a freshly booted system but I doubt it. If the account is already logged in but it's just locked, then yes you can access it.
