Kevin, You are a totally natural teacher and one of the greatest teachers that I have ever seen. I know that, not only because I am a retired teacher who for forty years observed hundreds of others in the teaching profession, but also because of the specific opportunity of being able to compare your online explanations to other people's online explanations of exactly same things. They are working hard and are certainly doing their best, but few of them seem to have the level of skill that you have--that precious skill that a great teacher must have--seeing the subject that they are teaching from the position of the students to whom they are teaching it. You are obviously an expert in the hundreds of subjects that you explain, but some of the worst explanations I have seen come from experts, even the experts who created what they are explaining, because they just cannot manage to view it like the neophyte who lacks their knowledge. Teaching is certainly a skill that can be taught to some extent, but my experience suggests to me that it is primarily an inborn skill. I can tell that you have done a tremendous amount of work to perfect your videos, and they are a close to perfect as you could get them. But, sadly, even hard work isn't enough for those who lack your natural teaching ability to match your natural results. Thanks for doing what you are doing.
Another great tutorial from Kevin.Kevin, you're amazing. thank you
Your tutorials are easy to understand, direct to the point, and very helpful!
Broo, thank you so much, it took me 6 hours to find your video! Works! bless
Thanks. Found and started using a few weeks ago. It works so well.

This video is big help for a parent that needs computer support but has trouble installing an extension from instructions over the phone. 👍👍👍
Hello Kevin. I recently found you on CZcams and let me just say that you are simply AWESOME! I am learning a lot from you when it comes to tech stuff. I have one request: Can you do a tutorial on how to create a good podcast?
Loved this video Kevin! Thank you so much
Great... Kevin... always simple and useful
This is great ! Thank you so much. As always very important video.
Thank you Kevin.Wonderful video.
Good One ....🙂 I tried it and works flawless...
It has potential of replacing anydesk as the full screen mode is really immersive
Great as usual. Always has very very beneficial videos.
Thanks a lot for sharing! I'm so happy I found this channel.
As always Kevin, a great job explaining the details on how to install and use this software. You saved me a lot of time and agony. Thank you.
Was just about to go the long route setting up RDP through my carrier then this gold nugget of a video came to my feed. Implemented it and tested it and glad to report it works awesome. Kevin you are becoming my favorite ❤ CZcamsr.
Brother, do you if this works even when the computer you want to remote in is on the lock screen?
I’m going to MX and I need to access 2 computer that I’m not taking with me.
Unfortunately all computers have to be online for you to remote in. You can't wake it up remotely if it is shutdown or even in sleep mode. Goodluck friend !
Same!
Awesome tips here, installed the extension and was connected to my remote PC in minutes!
Thanks Kevin, if can learn programming points like this clip it can be great.
Thank you, Kevin! We tried it and it works! This will save us money and time. I agree with the others who call you and your videos awesome!

Awesome tutorials, Kevin. TY
Great tool. I have been using this for years especially if there has been restrictions in the user being able to download and use quick support for TeamViewer or unable to get to grips with windows support

Very helpful 👍👍 ... Thank you
This is the best free alternative for remote software. Thank's
Amazing! Thank you so much!
Thanks for this tips. very powerful
Thank you for this great video. I am going on vacation and don't want to take my laptop, this way I can access PC from anywhere.
Ok, Now i get it. You forgot to mention that these computers are logged into the same account. You might have added to this, that you can access a 2nd computer with a different account, but you must use the Remote Support Share Screen to control of someone else's pc. BTW, its not just a share screen, you have total control of that 2nd pc via that control method.
Agreed he forgot. Thanks for sharing this I also having the same issue, I'll make sure the other PC is loggon to the same google account.
Probably wanted to keep it easy to understand
❤
I noticed that too. It has to be logged into same account
Thank you.
Thank you, Kevin. Great video.
Newly issued VPN connection causing access issues to certain websites. NP Chrome Remote to another PC for the access as a temporary workaround while work patches the access.
Great! Thank you!
Yes! Need This.
I had not use it for long time and try to use it again now. Wow it such a great function for now
Excellent. You have helped me a lot.
Thank you so much.
Thank you It works fine.
excellent.. good job... Brisbane Australia
Kevin, I think that there's an element of resistance in using anything that routes traffic through Google's servers. Would you consider a similar video but using Microsoft's Remote Desktop Connection and doing it with a VPN like Tailscale ?
Very Informative 😮
i love your simplicity in teahing
Excelent explanation, congratulations and thanks.
Amazing explanation!
Great tutorial!
Goody ! Very much like Anydesk or Teamviewer. Thanks, Kevin.
Thank You Bro... 👍
Hi Kevin, thank you for the video. Would a Chrome Box be suitable as a remote computer for Chrome Remote Desktop? What level of performance is needed for this to work? BTW can I install MS Edge on a Chrome Box?
Thanks for sharing.
Hi, thanks so much for this very useful video. Can this be used to remotely control a Mac mini that is not connected to a display? Thanks
Hey kevin i was going through your Chrome remote Dekstop video its helpful I need to check if we can use two screens remotely.
Thanks!
Awesome video! I had no trouble using the Chrome browser option on my phone (SAMSUNG Fold 3) , but when using the App, it didn't seem to work that well...just providing feedback
Hi Kevin ... I am new subscriber , You are too good. Can you make any videos about informatica ETL ?
*Great video. Can you please make an video on how to remote into another Android phone from iPhone/Android phone.*
A very complete video. The explanation is perfect. Thank you very much. I would recommend a video on Supremo, which I think is a fantastic alternative and so I get the most out of it with your explanations.
Thanks very nice
This is really great. Does the home computer need to be powered up? Thanks
Yes.
Of course.
Thank you
Thanks for the video! @KevinStratvert do you know if there's a way to specify a UNIX user to login as in the Remote Desktop? When I use it for Linux PC, it logs in as `manager` - ideally I'd want to change it to a different one
Is there an option to input Hostname and IP like with Microsoft Remote desktop allows ? For those running a VPS
Thank You Kenvin. But one question to connect remotely other pc does it require to be same network or net
Hey Kevin! Thanks for your informative video. I was wondering if I could edit videos remotely on my Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra using Chrome Remote Desktop? Best wishes!
That’s a great video! Can you tell me how to connect from a Windows PC to a remote iPad? Thanks in advance.
Superb :)
Hi Kevin, I needed to help a fried out some distance away from me and watched your video on how to set up Google remote desktop which I found easy to do while watching your video on the subject however once connected which went quickly and while I was in my friends PC my mouse seemed to be non-responsive whith a lot I was trying to do so had to instruct my friend to do certain things. Your video showed the movement and actions being quite fluid yet mine was not any suggestions or thoughts on why this would happen to me? I have good speeds and I believe my friend does too
Thanks Kevin
Absolute Hands down best Remote Desktop software out there easy and not really clunky. If I can say its google's best software. Just is a little hard for novice people use but not really. lol
Kevin-Love your Videos. Question: Does this work from a PC to a Chromebook and vice versa ? We are trying to support a learner with low digital skills remotely. She has a Chromebook and the digital literacy coach has a PC. Thank you
thanks
Thanks Kevin, do you know how long this generated code will be valid for other person to login ? and do I need to approve it only once ?
You should do one for a cheap VPC and chrome remote desktop.
Rustdesk is a very good open source alternative. Works very good on Windows, Linux and mobile too.
thanks for sharing
Great video! Now I need to figure out how to swap screens, my pc has two screens. I can see two at once but i can't seem to toggle between the two.
Can Chrome Remote Desktop also be used to give support to family member's Android phones from my Win11 (w/Chrome) computer, or from my Android phone? Thanks
Hi Kevin, I saw that in the configuration, the chrome remote desktop is not longer allowing multiple screen options, is that true?
Great video. I was wondering how secure is this ?
Hello, I really like the way you explain the topic. I do however want to know, when remoting into someone else's computer, do they need to download the app 1st, or just accept the access code you described?
I came across this video just yesterday and went to google to get the download and it works. Question if anyone knows: Windows 11 will sleep/hibernate but I will be able to access computer on my phone (shortly). If the computer goes to hibernate/sleep for a while is the computer still in "hibernate/sleep" mode or is the computer shut down as I see the power key light "off"? I guess I will test out later today...
Thanks for being my GO-To Google expert. A question: If I leave my home desktop in SLEEP mode, will it wake up when I log in with my tablet? And can I put it back to sleep?
Any other Remote Desktop Software that you also recommend alongside Chrome Remote Desktop? Are there better solutions but for a price for example? Or other solutions with more features? I have seen a number of such software solutions but have not tried them all. Great video.
find out? thx
your dbest man!!
Great tutorial!
I have a question. Can I shut down my remote computer and then start it again?
Hello Kevin, can i use this feature for 10 computers to access into the 1 host computer to see the screen of host.
Great video! Thank you! Can the home computer be on sleep mode in order to use Remote Desktop or does it always have to be on?
Brother, do you know if this works even when the computer you want to remote in is on the lock screen?
I’m going to MX and I need to access 2 computer that I’m not taking with me.
Do you have to be connected to the internet or can it be through any wifi? I run sound and connect my tablet to a wifi router that is connected to my computer which controls my mixer app. Many times i will not have access to internet. Yes i can control my mixer remotely but i would like to share the screen as i have other plugin apps that im unable to control this way. If i could share the screen then i would be able to control them. Hope that makes sense. I thought if i could somehow connect both computers to the same wifi that is not connected to the internet, maybe i could still share the screen.
Hi Kevin, thank you for this great information. I truly appreciate your efforts to help others. Please my question is that can you use it to connect to a remote VPS server? Thank you
hi kevin quick quistion plz , if my computer has a pin how do i log in to it from my tablet using Chrome Remote Desktop ????
Is there an option for just transferring files straight to and from the other computer?
How can organize a connection to the desktop and so that you can talk to the one who is connected. It is clear that you can talk on the phone, but this is inconvenient, since this is how I want to receive remote lessons, it is desirable for me to record them from the screen along with the sound. How can this be done?
Great video and easy to understand.
Now, is it possible to access an Android phone from a pc?
Excellent Kevin! Love your videos. One question though ....how can the remote computer protect itself from "just anyone" accessing it? For example, other services like TeamViewer and UltraVNC accomplish the same thing, but if these programs are not running, then there's no way to be accessed from "just anyone".
There is a pin that is required to connect. Not sure if that answered you question
1: Access to it is guarded by the security of your google account. and 2: There is a separate pin# that is required to connect. Its funny how everyone takes for granted they're logged into chrome but its tied to your google account.
Can it be used to control more than one remote PC/laptop at a time
I was going to upgrade my current laptop to pro (currently win 10 11 soon) so I could remote to my old laptop (now my wife's), which is not a wim 11 candidate.
There's the rub. To remote into another windows system it is that system that needs to be pro.
So the Google remote seems like a good optolion for me.
But that said, I'm a little confused regarding security. If you remote in to a computer wjere someone is already logged in, do you take over their session, or get a new one?
Does the host pc need to confirm my connection each time or only the first time?
Good
Thanks for this video. Please take note
- the PC should be signed in with admin privileges
- Remote Desktop cannot remote into the Windows Sign-In
- you could lose remote access when the PC goes idle
Best to have VPN on both sides? Or only the sharing side? Or access side?
Hello, kevin, how to download folder or complete SDD Partition through remotedesktop
Only half way through the video so far, but I set this up on my pcs and phones a while ago (couple years) and recently it won't connect remotely, only when I'm on same network, I don't recall if vpn worked, I don't think it did. Any suggestions?!?
Thanks Kevin, does Chrome Remote Desktop work between two computers with different operating systems? For instance between a computer running Linux and another running Windows? Thanks!
yes, should work 👍
Bro please do you have a vidoe on Microsoft RD to support remote users . Can you help out in that pls 🙏
DUDE! Seriously, I'm a Technical Writer and IT Trainer with 20+ years' experience, and every single thing of yours that I've seen here and on TikTok is absolutely TOP DRAWER stuff. There isn't another IT content creator that I've ever had more confidence in, or respect for. About Chrome Remote Desktop -- it seems too good to be true. How does it compare with Windows RDP for features, stability, and security? Thanks, Tony,
