Question: can you use this on a small non-internet connected LAN? I run lighting control software on a PC at work. I would like to be able to walk around the stages while using my Android tablet to control the software running on the PC. I would strongly prefer the PC not be connected to the internet. Yes google follows you everytime facebook also you need to use duck duck go browser and they will block every tracker who follows you

I'm still missing something. My screen doesn't look like this. I downloaded it on my work computer. Set it up and then set up a password. I then do the same process on my laptop. The trouble is that I cannot connect the two. I'm missing a step.

I install chrome remote desktop on Mac machine ,video of remote machine is OK but the remote machine is no sound.
This is most likely a macOS problem. It does not allow you listen to stereomix like on Windows. What this means is if you try and use ANY videorecording software including the built-in Quicktime Player, it can only use the microphone audio, NOT the system audio.
There are certain hacks online for this but for some reason Apple has never allowed this.
Perhaps they are afraid of people ripping videos and music on their services via screen/audio recording software. Who knows
From what I can tell , you can only add windows os computers to the remote devices section, I've tried with a chromebook and the only option I can do is share my screen or use the opposite computers screen. Chrome os or Linux os are limited compared to windows os
I downloaded it for use with my Samsung tablet and I can only see my computer screen; I cannot open any files or applications. Was really hoping this would have worked.
When attempting to access your home computer (as per your example) what if it is in a "sleep" mode?
When my computer is in sleep mode it shows as "online" but you can't access it

btw this app is made by google so it is %100 secure. there is just a few bugs that would "break" your computer however if you manage to restart your computer (i used the BUTTON to do it) then it is back to normal after 5 minutes of using. OR INSTEAD OF ALL THESE JUST DONT PRESS "fit desktop to screen size" OR SOMETHING IN THE THREE DOTS MENU.
