very nice idea! I love how hacky and wonky it is. I would make an attack animation of the first person character, so you can not spam the attack(add some reload time.) That will greatly add to the sense of danger. Which engine are you using?
@@LordVilmore I already fixed the crossbow and sword, now you only have the attack points of a skirmisher XD
I don't use a game engine, this is directly coded and uses OpenGL for Rendering

Hey spriteblood. Awesome job. I brought this up in his first video but if you haven't already you need microsoft's written permission to use the sprites ASAP. I was developing a mod for another game and tried to use the sprites and got a cease and desist from them.
@@tando6266 I tried to contact them but the mail addresses I found dont exist any longer....I also read the game content usage rules and when I understand this correctly its okay. OpenAge and the Forgotten AddOn did survive this hell of laws too. I will try to get in contact..

I already commented that on the first part, but just imagine what this game could possibly become! There are so many great options, like when it's hard to handle everything you could probably invent a 2v2 mode but each pair is controlling only one "player"! And imagine becoming one of your units and actually controlling them from the inside! And maybe you yourself could be like the king in regicide - when you die you lose. Such a bright future for this game!

Anyone else remember the game Savage? This reminds me so much of that game. Man I loved that, imagine this in multiplayer with players being the units themselfs and one commander giving orders and constructing the buildings.

There was a game that touched this idea. Rise and Fall: Civilizations at War. It would be cool if the guy who creates it could allow to switch viev with a button from normal look from the sky to commanding a general/you, which you could also control with your army.

If this game had a birds eye view option along with the option to control any character it would be feasible for multiplayer kind of like the old battlezone combat commander
As a kid i always wanted an age of empires tipe game were you can have top vew and zoom in and control one unit . this. Mod is awesome

Rembering the first version of this game I clicked this video thinking: "T90 is really stretching the content this time."
But actually a lot has been added and it all seems to work pretty well.
I can't wait until everything is in because I want to see pros micromanage in first person

Has a retro "Bullfrog Productions" vibe. Like a mix of Magic Carpet's first-person commander and the manned towers from Populous: The Beginning.

After watching the full video I am 100% convinced there is an untapped market in an original first person RTS game... this concept is completely unexplored as far as I know and it could be a super fun combination

Imagine a combination of AoE2, CoD, and Combat Mission.

The concept itself is great, taking part of battles yourself alongside your units, doing stuff on this FP style, having yourself as a unit since the beginning of the game, have to say is really great I am into it... but for my taste would be great if you could alternate between the classic RTS camera angle and the FP style for management of resources and building. I can see it can really be a pain in the ass to do a lot of resource management and building in FP at late game (if this game goal is to be exactly as AOE II is).

Amazing - This game really needs an expandable box selection tool like on the normal game that expands horizontally on the X plane of the floor with 3d depth so you can select chunks of units in perspective. Its a simple addition and would really evolve the gameplay and control.

Idea concerning your troubles; garrisoned units create a secondary building instance which cannot be directly damaged, protecting the king within. A bug can come from this behavior, in that the instance is not destroyed with the actual building, leaving behind an invisible entity that cannot be targeted or damaged by anything.
