You just managed to PERFECTLY describe how I came across this movie. I first saw it at a sleepover when I was like 10, and completely forgot about it until recently.
the thing about this movie i never got was that if the mother was faking the illness the whole time, he would still have a severely compromised immune system from being in the bubble for so long. Some illnesses can manifest through the treatment necessary to treat it
@Ethan Merritt in a weird way yea kinda, except you have to imagine the main character as the crack baby and the mother as someone still giving the baby crack for most of their life. Which is probably a better way to morally view the mother here

The funniest thing for me was that his bubble was hit by a truck, punched around by pro wrestlers, went through a billboard, and fell into the Niagra from like a 1000 ft and still didn't take a scratch and yet he just tore it off like paper XD. Awesome recap as always man.

You guys wanna know the craziest part of this film? It was based or at least inspired by a real life story of a boy who was born and put in a machine imediatly after being born otherwise he would die, the machine looked like a bubble, there he spent 11 years of his life, when the doctors finally made a special suit for him to walk around for a while, then he finished school, graduated, and, correct me if I am wrong, applied to laws, just mindblowing.
But sadly the boy died before being able to actually do the job, I don't remember how he died tho, but I think it was because of his condition that got worse.
This channel so far has been the perfect channel to find random movies that i had memories of but didn't knew the name, can you use your magic to find a movie about 2 poor kids from the middle east trying to go to america after a girl one of them had a crush on moves there, and the movie has borderline publicity for cocacola?
That's not how it works. This is a fictional movie, but irl you never 'develop' an immune system. People that have this disease nearly all die within a year, and if they survive that they may live for another decade in a bubble until they get unlucky and catch a cold and die. It's a horrible disease and there is no cure.
@@mike4402 You develop an immune system from when youâre a baby- he was isolated in the bubble for his whole life so heâd have a very weak immune system. He didnât actually have the disease, but heâd still be vulnerable to the environment
