I have one. It's super easy to make it a little faster, at least if you have the turbo (which you need). The turbo has a bypass valve, and it's adjustable with just a couple nuts and you get free extra boost. Add an aftermarket intake (the stock intake is the first restriction) and it's no longer painfully slow.
I own a Jimny, and love it to death, but you can clearly tell Mitsubishi put tonnes more thought into how to use the interior space. Using the little storage tray under the boot/trunk floor to raise it to the height of the rear seats when tilted is small, but really clever.
The JB74 Jimmy's have the same sort of storage box to level out the boot
@@jonathonpetersen3634 yep, only took them 20 years :P doesn't help that the JB74 boot is even smaller than the old Jimny, even without the storage box taking up some space.
@@fossilfueled27 yeah but you get more rear seat space as a trade off. everything in these cars is a compromise one way or another.
This car looks like someone has made a kids go kart in the style of the Pajero.
This would be a decent car to have on a property for teens to drive as it's got the bare essentials and it'd make them hype aware of there surroundings.

The 2 main problems with the Suzuki Jimny are: it needs to be 2 inches wider & longer and a 2 liter engine instead of 1.5 🤔

Yeh, I never test drove a Jimny on the freeway (bought an xv instead)...but yess (the swift I owned did lack a 6th gear on the freeway)👍.

First saw one of these a couple of days ago. My first thought was "cooler than a Jimni".

I do like small cute cars but the lack of torque and power would be a concern l not talking great amounts of power just enough to cruise at 110 kph which any decent 4 cylinder can do

Problem with these mini 4wds, theres not much space to fit your camping gear. And you end up stacking heaps of stuff on the roof rack hitting things and heaps of wind noise
Don't take all your Luis Vuitton luggage set when going camping
Fold the rear seats forward gets plenty of storage for true camping and use it to limit how much crap your missus brings.
You can also just pull a small trailer. They are surprisingly cheap to buy.

This has a bigger brother that is more matched to Suzuki Jimny.. It is the Pajero iO or Pajero Pinin.
The Pajero iO is bigger than the Jimny, it has four full sized doors.

If you're that desperate to own a miniature Pajero then buy a Pajero IO for a quarter of the price and with 3 times the engine capacity. Or better yet, put your big boy panties on and buy a far more practical, capable and probably more economical real Pajero.
