    Nice, first video that actually show it's use and as a bonus you pronounced Ryobi correctly!

      Lol, I used to say it incorrectly for a long time. I still have to correct myself every once in a while.

      Ha, pretty different than what you get over at the other place. Thanks for stopping by.

    In central Virginia, we have a lot of wire grass similar to crabgrass. On granite walls, stalks of grass vines hang over the wall. A line trimmer can't get to all the hanging stalks. This tool works very well clipping those stalks off. It's also very good at trimming next to solar lights. You pull them up to trim & either lose the stake or can't find the old hole. This is much better.

    I bought this and I love it. It’s not so heavy like my electric trimmers.

    Another great idea for my better half. We have a dozen or so of Ryobi batteries.

      I bought this for my mom for mother's day, and she decided she wanted to keep it. So I had to buy another one. Works really good.

      Yes, really easy to use with one hand. My 77 yr old mom tried it and said she was not giving it back.

      Just trims the new growth. For woody stalks you'll need some loppers.

    Its for some minor trims in hard to get to spots seems very practical if used for just that. That is the brand I use it has a fair price point but doesn't perform like the Milwaukee.

    • @FernbarkFrist
      @FernbarkFrist  Před 4 lety

      I have many of the Milwaukee and Ryobi products. For the price, Ryobi is hard to beat, but straight up head to head, Milwaukee is usually better.

    Is there a way to make the lock button stay pressed without having to always press it along with the trigger button to use? I have small hands and when I first used this a few days ago it was reallly hard to keep both buttons pressed. I know that the company made it so the lock button won’t stay on for safety reasons. But I don’t understand why when you can’t turn it on without the triggerbutton being pushed. Is there a work-around for this problem? Any ideas?

      Unscrew it apart and remove the safety lock spring.

    • @FernbarkFrist
      @FernbarkFrist  Před 4 lety +1

      I don't think you have to keep pressing the lock button once the unit is started. When you let go of the trigger, you will have to press the lock button again.

      Terrible idea safety-wise, but you could zip tie the trigger, then when done remove battery and cut zip tie off

    • @FernbarkFrist
      @FernbarkFrist  Před 2 lety

      Not sure, but Ryobi has a website for ordering parts. Hopefully you can find it there. I don't know the URL off the top of my head and Google can find it just as fast for you as it can for me.

      They are sold only at Home Depot, so if Home Depot sells in Jakarta, you are in luck.
