Why do African nations love China?

  • It seems the US - China relation is always in the news and because American and Western media tends to dominate the global news, it can seem that like everyone is against China, but that isn’t really the case.
In this video, I want to introduce you to some megaprojects that China has completed or is currently working on in Africa and show you how China is influencing the world by helping other countries build useful infrastructure. I will also show you what the government and people of these countries say about China and these projects. Also, I don’t think you will be able to guess number one on this list because it even surprised me.
Thanks to Findirela Yeza ‪@FindirelaYeza‬ for sharing her footage of Kilamba New City. She lives there and has some nice videos.

The big question is: what have the Europeans and the USA done to help Africa developments in terms of Infrastructure and industrialisation?
Nothing more than instigations of wars and conflicts, assassinations of African strong and good leaders, who refuse to be their puppets, etc. Why wouldn't China win the hearts and minds of Africans for helping them develop?
They've been in our situations before so they can relate to our problem to lift us from poverty as they've done so for their Chinese citizens.
Remember the Chinese 100 years of humiliation by the West. Africans' are more than that and they're understanding our challenges to help us. Africa and China are best partners to work together for mutual benefits and developments. Remember, China and Russia never colonized any African country. Though, they could do it.

Thank you for a good and positive video about China's presence in Africa. It is interesting to see how the Western media's negative reporting on China in Africa evolved over the years. In the beginning, the West would criticize the quality of Chinese projects in Africa. When that did not work, the narrative changed to how the Chinese would bring their own workers and refuse to hire local workers. When that did not pan out, the West changed its narrative again. This time, the West focused on how the Chinese government was using its influence to cause "regime" changes in many African nations. When that did not happen, the West changed its narrative again to the present theme: Chinese debt trap (even though Chinese loans represent a small portion of Africa's debts).

As an American I can tell you that the attitude of the U.S. is that Africa is never to be allowed to develop its resources for itself. Africa is to only be the source of minerals and resources for the West and the U.S. They will do everything in their power to keep Africa poor and only as a source of resources for themselves. I don't know if China is a true friend of Africa, only time will tell. However, it can't be as bad a friend/enemy as the U.S. and the West. Africans are weary of the U.S. and rightly so. With its terrible history of enslavement, colonialism, racism and economic slavery the U.S. just isn't going to ever be trusted in Africa. It's good to have another country competing for your resources and helping you become a better nation. China knows and remembers the humiliation done to it and Africa by the West. That's why I believe that China understands Africa and will never allow this kind of thing to ever happen again. I'm not a religious person but I'm praying that this partnership will be lasting and beneficial to both Africa and China and that in the coming generations both countries will form an unbreakable bond that will strangle the West and the U.S. It is projected that in the future there will be more Africans than Europeans and that the world will be majority African and Chinese. The European/American are fading out - their birth rates are plummeting. I'm old and won't be here to see it but just knowing that Africa is rising gives me hope and I sleep peacefully at night knowing that my people are rising and we will never be enslaved or humiliated ever again.

Fun fact: Since China-Africa infrastructure projects began, African population increased from 800 million to 1.3 billion. A large part was due to the Chinese-invented Malaria cure that the Chinese didn't patent and hold it as their property, instead was shared with the world. And thanks to projects like sewage systems, waste water processing plants, more Africans have access to basic sanitary amenities than Indians by 2020. By working with China, the African people received tangible, sustainable assets, things that actually improve the lives of the people. China is also not selfish in sharing technologies and training the locals, which means they aren't building these infrastructures to get African countries dependent on China.

The key ingredient to this medicine is a plant compound that micro-explodes on contact with high concentration of oxygen. Malaria cells contain high concentration of oxygen. It was also found that Malaria has no defense against this plant compound; it can't mutate to defend against this type of medical attack.

The west hates China for all the reasons Africa, and much of the global south, loves it- before China (and especially after the fall of the Soviet Union), all these countries would have had to seek out high-interest western loans, to develop their own infrastructure, or even simply feed their people- they would have had to sign off concessions of austerity and waive parts of their sovereignty- measures meant to shackle them to their western creditors, not truly develop- they would be forced to open up large sections of their country to exploitative trade deals, destroying local industry in favor of western corporations, receiving pathetic rates for resource extraction royalties in what was little better than theft, and the loans even then would be chump change- insultingly insufficient, and much with so many strings attached, that end of the day, it largely flowed back into the pockets of the west (and comprador local officials).
These countries have been trapped in much the same cycle China had experienced in the past- in fact, modern neo-imperialism greatly resembles the experience of China (and other "non-colonized" countries like Iran, Thailand, Turkey, pre-Meiji Japan, post-revolutionary Latin America, etc) during its century of humiliation- unequal treaties and foreign concessions in all but name, western political interference/funded insurgencies/attempts at regime change, heavy-handed western usurpation of local resources and industries, and being strung along through extortionate loans, promises, and threats and coercion alike while chasing a trickle of industrialization offered in bad faith by western loan shark creditors and western industries alike.

Instead of joining China to help those lesser African nations, Joe Biden tried to lure them away from China with, again, empty promises of $55 billion aids over 3 years to 55 African nations -- all pending U.S. congressional approval. No wonder Africa balked away from America's sweet talks. If you want to know why, consider this:
    U.S. total debt: $31.5 trillion
    U.S. debt interest-only repayment at 1%: $315 billion
    U.S. debt interest-only repayment at 2%: $630 billion

    U.S. debt interest-only repayment at 4%: $1.260 trillion

    U.S. debt interest-only repayment at 5.5%: $1.7325 trillion
    U.S. annual defense budget (2022): $850 billion
U.S. annual social security spending (2022): $700 billion
U.S. annual federal and state expenses (2022): $750 billion
    U.S. federal tax revenue (2022): $4.9 trillion
The American annual spending, when combined with interest payment on its $31.5 trillion debt to the world, immediately nullify any earnings from its annual tax base and leave it with almost no surplus for anything else within the United States of America itself, let alone anything left for any single country outside its border. Now you know why the U.S. forced its allies and friends to increase their defense spending to at least 2% of their GDP's as well as pay the U.S. government for keep American combat troops on their soils plus donate their armaments to Ukraine in order to buy American weapons to replenish their war machines. Now you also know why the U.S. drummed up fear of a wider conflict outside of Ukraine (to the point of perhaps a nuclear skirmish on European soil) so that European wealth can be lured to a supposedly safe haven across the Atlantic. Not only the above, but also the American fleecing European wealth through sky-high energy sales to Europe and even worse the shameless illegal purchases of Russian oil and gas for resale to its presumably European allies and friends for maximum profits. The phrase "American allies and friends" has now become a joke for the whole world to laugh at.

It will be mutually beneficial for the rest of time. 200 years from now people will be confused as to why Africa was ever a poor continent in the first place. Can you imagine cities like Tokyo, Seoul and Singapore in Africa with soaring skyscrapers, modern infrastructure, big homes etc? That is becoming a reality now thanks to China.

    • @TripBitten
      @TripBitten  Před rokem +12

Agreed, if the US and Europe actually wanted to help and build up Africa, they could do it. Most of the countries would still rather work with US and EU, but given the requirements and deals offered, they turn to China. Because China is looking to establish long term partnerships and don't really care as much about the politics or government of the country they invest into. The Chinese are taking bigger risks and often lose money, in order to win politically and to be first to market in these emerging markets.
